  • interesting activity in the meat section today at Tesco extra - Irvine. they have gone round and scanned ALL of the meat and put yellow barcode stickers on any that were mispriced. Along with taking down the cd posters, it makes for an interesting and altogether more challanging time, however they missed the Edam cheese which was still overpriced and in the chart book section , the posters only had 3 prices on and the one for The Da Vinci code was wrong against the sel and sticker on the book. Not that i bought it as i've already read it.
  • Not had a refund for ages but today managed to find Wall's smoked bacon multi pack SEL £3.97 price on pack £4.49 and also Finest Hickory smoked bacon SEL £2.06 price on pack £2.48 . Almost £21 refunded and six packs of free bacon  Thanks tesco.
Amused me how CS lady insisted on photocopying them before handing them back to me.
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

Same at Dudley Tesco - Loads of new yellow stickers all over the meat packs - rarely find mis-priced meat at this store anyway but I always look ;)
and no posters on CD or DVD aisles.

The 1 mis-price I did actually find accidentally was on strawberries, 227g punnets.
There was a huge yellow sign on the front of the baskets they were in, priced £1.99 (I always make a shopping list and write the prices on as I go along now so I know I was right) got charged £2.49.
But when CS checked there was no big sign on the front of the basket - just a smaller £2.49 on shelf which I hadnt seen anyway so they refused R&R, it looks like someone already got their refund before me on that 1 and the sign taken away. Never mind some you win and some you lose.

Despite that though, I was quite pleased to see Tesco get it right today :T

Re: The Da Vinci Code - The SEL is £3.21 and the sticker is £3.73. It scans at £3.21 - at least it does in my local store.

My neighbour (thanks Pete) has just given me a whole duck!
Price on pack £2.95kg but SEL £0.95kg - May be a localised error!
