Tesco misprices thread - please only post misprices here

After my visit to Tesco's in Edinburgh, went into the big Tesco at Cumbernauld.

Got Pop Jr CD poster 10.77, charged 10.97
also got The very best of the 1989's (vol1) poster 7.97, charged 9.87

Then had a big fight over the PS2 Merceneries game, was in the section where they were advertising PS2 games 13.97, picked on up, and was charged 19.97. Was refused refund because the game didn't have a 13.97 sticker on it and was told that some people put the games in that section by "mistake". I agreed with CS lady that I could understand that but when there were 4 of the games in that section then it looks like they were there as that was where they were meant to be.

She refused to refund saying the games at 13.97 were selected titles only and since it didn't have a sticker on, it didn't count. I then asked to see where the game should be and at what price, this she failed to find!!!!, and eventually got a girl from the entertainment dept to look, she couldn't find it either, the CS girl then told her to take all the other Mercenary games off the 13.97 shelf, we went back to the desk and I was told they would not refund the game. I said ok, I'll keep it.

Then went to the other Tesco in Cumbernauld to see how much they were selling game for, guess wot, in the 13.97 section with sticker at 13.97 and scanning at 19.97. I asked a very nice CS lady their why they were selling it at that price , explained what had happened at the big tesco, she told me it was their mistake and that I should go back and complain. So I did, but still no joy, so eventually told them to keep the game and just refund me.

I'll get Tesco Extra Cumbernauld, be warned

PS they had loads of Vege Edam priced wrond and lots of Double Chesire at 1.24 on pack, SEL 1.19

Walls 4 pack of bacon - SEL £3.98, packet £4.49 - scans @ £4.49

Bought one and was offered 51p by CS. Yeah, right!

1xbest of 1980s triple CD set (this time they got it in reverse chart poster says 9.87, charged 9.87 but shelf said 7.87 - will bring a few memories back?)
2xvege edam and 2xwensleydale/lancashire

cheesed off the manager though...

PS noticed there's also Tesco Dutch Gouda cheese marked about 4p per pound cheaper on shelf!

Edam vegetarian cheese wrong per Kg:
SEL £4.39kg Pack £4.69/kg

Finest Bacon (again) SEL £2.06 Pack £2.48
Again £2.06 refers to 250g pack but there wasn't any and it was in front of the 300g packs!

Finest Shetland Isles Salmon Fillets:
SEL (Offer) £11.42/kg Pack £13.42/kg

Whole Duck:
SEL £0.98/kg Pack £2.96/kg
Reported this earlier & thought it may be localised but it was in Royston and Hampton store, Peterborough!

Overheard CS lady mentioning something about the £20 off the mobile phones! Said something about them being removed from some list so that you have to go to CS to get your £20 off. This is obviously a change to stop the errors at the tills! Perhaps JOEL can give us more info tomorrow!

Salmon Fillets 13.42, shelf 11.42 - was supposed to be Tesco best for 11.42, but was labelled Tesco Speciality Fish. 13.42 per kg crossed out, so must be the same fish... Got the refund as they checked the labelling somehow.
Also was some Atlantic salmon, with SEL price reduction, but noticed no price reduction on the package.

Tesco Finest Tuna Steaks too - sorry don't remember the prices but sel def. lower than pack prices. I plumped for the salmon 13.42/11.42 and didn't want to overdo it - my local stores seem happier if it's little & often rather than a trolley full

Yes, Tesco's own Gouda(over wekend) and Finest Shetland Isles fillets of...etc. as previously posted. BUT, I am very grateful that Liz overheard a CS person speaking on 'phone to someone, saying that the woman they'd spoken about was @CS NOW and Mgr/Ray? was to come down a.s.a.p. I had accompanied another CS to show salmon misprice and would not have known about this, had Liz not remained behind with our shopping.
Should we shop a deux, with Minders now?

Forgot to add - took 5 packs of this salmon, labelled/pkgd as Finest - but identical mispriced item continued in same box with different pkg colours, still 'Shetland Isles Salmon Fillets' on a royal blue ground but silver band with word Finest does not appear.Worth checking?

been down to local Tesco this am and all sirloin steak has been re-weighed and re-priced to comply with new SEL (can't remember price £9.95/kg ish i think) might be worth checking in your local store.

So which of you lot beat me to Penzance?! :rolleyes:

That's the product I was refunded on - there wasn't any other. "Finest" on label with old price of £13.42 crossed out and new price of £11.42 highlighted, the word "Finest" did not appear on the product, although all other details tallied.
