All this talk of the Wii fit is making me want one!! I don't think I can justify the cost though, we got our Wii for christmas, I agree with what everyone says about it being a family thing and so different from other games consoles, but having said all of that I haven't been on it for ages (I spend a lot of my "free" time looking on here now !).

I made hobnobs and bread yesterday, I was on my own for tea so had a lovely fry-up! Today was Moroccan lamb with enough to go in the freezer. I've planted 2 x tumbling toms in baskets. Most of the washing is done but needs to be put away.

Me and OH have had a lovely afternoon, he's worked most of the weekend (we didn't have his DDs but we will see them for tea tomorrow), so we took advantage of this afternoon and went to Derwent Reservoir, had a picnic and a bit of a walk. He's so busy most of the time so its nice when we can do something like that. He's out now of course!!

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

Hi everyone - just spoken to A&E (again) it seems they have found nothing wrong but obviously the shock will not be good for him at 88. He is just awaiting transport back to the nursing home. I have spoken to them too, for not sending anyone with him, not happy about that (he is incapable of giving any details - or even knowing what is going off) - due to staffing levels - wonder if that contributed to the incident, asked for the Manager to call me tomorrow morning. He has had around 3 hours at A&E.
Thanks for the good wishes DG

    Evening All

Last day at work until after Bank Holiday today:j It'll be so lovely not to have the alarm going off at 4am tomorrow.

Had a lovely roast chicken for dinner - leftovers will become another meal later in the week.

Had a very lazy day, as somehow I've managed to strain my knee. It was fine when I got up, but then after getting to work, it started hurting and has gradually got worse throughout the day. Hoping it'll be ok when I get up in the morning.

Not much planned for the week, just spending as little as possible.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Scuzz, hope the knee improves.
VickyA, well done on your fundraising.
Donny, hope Dad is ok, My FIL has the rails up all the time, although his air mattress raises him so he could if he tried get over the rails. When he was a little more mobile, MIL turned his bed so that one side was against the wall and then she pushed a high backed chair up to the other side. She was always very concerned about him falling. His room is close to the nurse's/carers night station so at least we know they are about even if just watching TV.
Hester, wise move keeping your options open...just keep an eye on what she packs, you could end up with 2 orange boxes left to sit on. :D

My OS effort today has consisted of making 4 fruit cakes.
As Mr Twit is working, I think I'll go and have tea and toast in bed and have a surf. :D:D

    Hello everyone,

Been a bit manic here this weekend and it's seriously curbed my puter time. It's freezing here this morning. Cold snap all this week. Pack your thermals Meaniemarie. :D Went and visited my sis yesterday. Enjoyed a lovely day with her and she is in a much better frame of mind for Wednesday. Convinced herself the balloons or stents will work & she won't need surgery. But hey ho, we'll cross that bridge if we need to.

VickyA Well done on the run & for raising that amount of money.
DG Glad your Dad didn't injure himself too seriously but I would be asking questions tomorrow as well. Very pointed questions. ;)
Annie That's terrible. :D DGS calls them bottom bubbles. Maybe you can use that term.
    Beth <hugs>
Chalky I would think hard before you refuse too. She might take it you don't want to be included. If you feel like your intruding maybe you can say beforehand you will be able to come for 1 hour (make up a suitable appt ) and then leave them to it.
PenPen How did you take their temperature? :D
Well I better keep moving. I'm getting visitors this morning, the house needs work and I have nothing to feed them. Sao's with vegemite it is. ;) Sleep well. Byeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
