Just spoken to NDL - basically do as we have done before send a letter with details, disputing any liability - ask for their complaints procedure in writing as them to investigate why they are chasing us - and an apology! - if more hassle take it to the Financial Ombudsman - feel much better now!!!:j

So far:
bought groceries for the month
set up pocket money for kids
packed lunches to start after 1/2 term
offered Next settlement
waiting for replies re credit card charges
projected timescale to pay off ALL debts by June 09!!!! As long as car doesn't break down!!!! :j

Monument credit card charges claim £917 (o/s £921!!) have offered us £200 - taking to FOS:o.
Capital One - credit card claim £776.12 (o/s 439!!!) have offered us £190 - sending 2nd letter re court action:o

debt getting smaller - almost daily!!! LLoyds TSB (DCA Credit Security) offered us if we paid a one off payment of £819 (debt 2047) they would clear debt - borrowed the money from a family member - paid & settled - Lloyds have also offered us £354 back from charges, so this will go into pot to pay someone else off !! Next have agreed to settle for £250 which we will pay next week. Going to court on Monday as Barclaycard (DCA) want us to pay £458 per month - stupid, so going to court to argue that this is too much and the fact that they have offered us £803 off of the debt!!

After looking at charges etc the state of play so far is:
Next owe 383.86 - they are offering us £250 to clear
Barclaycard (1) owe £696.51 - claim for charges £1164.64
Monument owe £921 - claim for £917 - they wont budge sent details to FOS
Capital One owe £439.80 - claim for £776.12 - they have offered us £190 - info to FOS
Smile(Co-op) owe £1218 paying off £20 per month
Barclays (student a/c) owe £993 paying off £30 per month
John Lewis owe £1892 paying off £50 per month
Nat west - disputing amount passed from one DCA £2454 to another and amount changed to £3154!!!!!!!
Barclaycard (2) claim successful debt reduced to £3581
Laura Ashley - playing silly !!!!!!s - haven't sent details of my account yet (have cashed cheque!!)
Getting back from Lloyds £358
Firstplus looking into PPI claim!!!

Have increased size of paperwork to two files!!!! This all takes time and effort but hopefully it will be well worth it - fingers crossed
