Congratulations PippaD!!! J Can’t wait to see a pic. And possible congratulations to Stefejb’s DD??? Meant to stay Stef, re the after-school club, you have to do what’s right for you & your DD, even though it’s a tough decision. My youngest DD will be leaving her club in July when she leaves the school, and although it’s only been running for this academic year it hasn’t really taken off & they’re struggling to keep open – so I know if she was still at the school I would feel guilty enough to keep sending her, even though I can’t really afford it. If you’ve got other arrangements that will work, you need the money in your pocket more.
Poor Miss Tru, how horrible for her L Hope she’s not feeling too shaken up.
Thanks Rzl & Twink for keeping us updated about PenPin &/or sending best wishes to her as well J
Thanks all for the advice about my DD’s. Oldest decided I could give her a lift to her Saturday job this morning as “otherwise I’ve got to pay £1.50 bus fare each way”. So I decided I would (as a way of trying to declare peace & maybe get us talking again.….) Told her to load the DW first which she did without arguing – knew she wouldn’t get a lift otherwise - but she didn’t say a word to me all the way into town, then just got out car muttering “bye. I can keep the frostiness up longer than she can though…. Will definitely have to withdraw labour etc. And with her prom coming up in about 6/7 weeks, she had better get her act together as she still expects a dress, limo ticket, etc…. It was the crack she made about “not everything is about money or material things” when I listed everything she’s had bought for her in recent months – I can keep throwing that one back at her now, lol!!!!!
Went to Mr T’s on the way home again (after spotting diesel at £1.24 a litre  ) and noticed how much food prices have gone up all of a sudden
 . Got a pack of mince to use for supper later, and also dinner another day. Then got back to find other 2 DD’s hovering & tidying up….. (still recovering from the shock, lol) and they are making an effort to be nice (and so am I).
Good news Catowen on more LO’s/work. Taplady, that did make me laugh about your DS new job..!!
Currently sitting in bed as feeling a bit headachy (stress?!) just chilling, might have a doze shortly.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

Martyn - congratulations you let your secret out on the age thread, so come on tell your friends on here a bit more.

Throwing caution to the wind  she's a very sweet girl who I got "talking" to on this forum when I first found my way here. She's almost a Geordie (sorry dear
) and lives in 'Ull but we all have a cross to bear  (look at me, a Yorkie living darn sarf, how bad can it get?
) One thing has led to another and we met for the first time last weekend when I went oop north to see my dear old mum and dad. To say we got on well is an understatement as she's driving 300 miles down here next week to stay for a few days :A
I can honestly say that I've never been happier than I am now :j , which just goes to show that all the good folk on here were right when they said that it will get better. :T :T :T It has and how!!
Must go, the motorhome looks like a "bloke" lives in it  and I'm currently wading through a thick layer of dog hairs
Don't want the dear girl to think I'm a scruffy s*d.
Take care all.
Man try

Afternoon All
Congrats to Pippad on the arrival of your baby boy:T
Not much to report here really. Enjoyed a shandy with Nan last night thanks to the bottle of beer I now get every Friday at work. It's a morale boost inititative by the boss for the office.
Finally clocked up enough points on lightspeed to order a voucher. Seems even they've been hit by the credit crunch. A £10 boots voucher cost nearly 1500 points:eek: Done daily clicks for the day and played my prizee games.
Mum's popped out to get some food in. We're out of some of the basics. Having either sausages or salmon for dinner. Both in the freezer.
Got two bananas on their way out, so trying to think of something to do with them so they're not thrown out.
Had a letter from the solicitor saying they're still waiting for a cheque from the sellers to re-emburse me for the rent I paid which they should've covered. Only £15 or so, but all helps.
Not getting much in the way of PIN money this year, but I've really scaled back my spending. Tesco vouchers came through and only £8 this time, which proves I'm cutting back - normally get around £11. Most of the spending is at the petrol pumps. Surely they can't keep putting prices up? How do they expect people to cope?
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Afternoon all,
Congratulations to the Pippads on the safe arrival of your son.
Slept very late this morning (not telling!), collected DGS2 from a birthday party as his Mam has an exam to-day and have been on here ever since...very productive day so far!
Nothing much planned beyond giving the living room a tidy up, newspapers seem to breed in there.
Have a nice weekend all

tattycath - i know how you feel with the Raynauds. i have had it for quite awhile now, but the doctor says its quite common for *young* women to have it. My DD phoned me a few weeks ago to say that Street Doctor had a patient with it and they told him to get some medication from his doctor, mine have never said there was any meds for it

Hope the headache has gone.... i suffer from migraine cross fingers haven't had one for a while now.
anniebooklover - yes i really should go back to the doctors, will try and get one day next week before my next physio.

I like that word young (and I'm nearly 40!!!)
Years ago when I first went to drs He said there were no necessity for meds for Reynauds, I just tend to wrap up well when it's cold etc.
My headache is easing thank you - but I have just eaten 6 slices of toast:oGE 36 *MFD may 2043
