pouring with rain at the moment so just considering my options for today over a coffee and a surf.
DS is going to a garden party tonight, but I'd imagine its going to be indoors now. Its his first party since he launched his social life after he split up with his gf after 4 years. fingers crossed he makes it back in one piece! he has recently only discovered alcohol and is in training for uni ;):) Isn't it funny how worries about kids never go away, they only change. I can remember dropping him off at this same birthday party 14 years ago!! where did all those years go?

anyway tonight will be chinese I think. saturday night is always treat night. :)
must post balance of holiday villa today and look at carhire.

hugs to pp ( I know you will have already left) and to smoky. your post last night was a welcome update. your manager sounds a great boss.
and to Mrs Mix...and all the rest who's names escape me at the moment...

Oh my days - sitting in the bath I heard a clink clink clink as several pennies dropped all at once. dd22 has been throwing up in the morning, has been to the drs and come back with a pot to pee in. I won't see her now till monday evening but will spend the time practising my surprised but chuffed face.
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Good morning all!

Up early this morning and have already been doing a little work on the living room. Have a list of things to do today (was going to say ch***s, but that's an evil word!) and the food shopping is coming too, I'm still annoyed at the fact that we've had to throw food away due to the power cuts, but there's not much we can do except for waiting for the compensation.

Got some pressies to wrap up for tomorrow and am going to make some owl-themed ATCs for a swap I'm in-keeps me out of the rain and the shops!

Getting really irritated with being in my pjs (get like that sometimes!) so I'm going to get ready for the day.

Have a pleasant Saturday and am sending loads of hugs and positive thoughts to so many people x

    Morning All

Made it to 6.30am until the barking woke me, and got up as if if wakes me it would wake DH, and then those sighs (Kathy - YKWIM:rolleyes:  ). Mustn't grumble though as he got all the fence panels down the drive (the front of the place) done both sides yesterday (6 panels both sides), he had stained the gates the day before, and then washed all the eaves and gutters (UPVC) at the front and drive side of the bungalow, continued in on to the window frames, and finished by cleaning the windows at the front (we have to wait for a dull day to do them), and he was promising to finish the other side of the place and the conservatory roof today:A, weather put paid to that though I think, though he was a bit stiff last night (old age I told him:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ). I pulled a few weeks out of the front (I had done it a few days ago so was not bad anyway, just need to cut back the bulb leaves before we go and leave the place looking cared for then.:T :T

(((hugs))) Pen-Pin make sure you pack your reading matter.

(((hugs))) Smoky & family - just think on how well you did realising you were going to yell at LO and walk away, many others with less pressure than you had yesterday do not manage that, we would have all wanted to yell in the circumstance, but you understood not too, that is really good. Yes Mr Taxman is kind isn't he:rolleyes: , but you should get a better one in September with the announcement this week, and some money back if you feel up to working by then.

SD it is a shame it turned into a row, but if oldest thinks you don't support/ do anything, well be strong and for a week don't and not pocket money! Then she wil find out which side her bread is buttered, no rowing, just shrug and say, but I don't do anything or support you so why do expect it? She is using blackmail to make you feel bad and do more, don't fall for it please, these teenagers aren't daft. That's my take on it, trouble is it was easier for me as mine was one a boy and two knew who had the stronger will. lol. My drawback was DH was soft enough to do things for him as he cannott stand anything being untidy (I can close my eyes for a short while).

Dogrose - rest we may get cross and frustrated with them - but big as they are and even if not local, we will worry.
Enjoy your time together PW & HJ - Pink don't let HJ lead you astray:eek: :rotfl: :rotfl:  .

DH now appeared and opened the blinds, any outside work definitely off pouring here - typical.

((((hugs)))) beethebee - hope you get your op soon, jayward - onward and upward mate don't let them get away with it. and anyone/everyone else who'd like one.

Martyn - congratulations you let your secret out on the age thread, so come on tell your friends on here a bit more.

Hello Everyone! Hugs and good wishes to you all!

I eventually had the baby (a son!) on Thursday morning (6.01am!) and he weighed 8lbs exact! It was the same room that I had, had DD in four years earlier which made it all a bit sureal!

I had to stay in for 24hrs as he pooped before he came out (messy baby) and DH couldn't work out how to log in here so sorry I couldn't tell you all!

We are now home and all doing well. The funniest part was DH started to make tea last night so I directed him to one of the meals I have made and frozen (pizza, start off easy!) and he was more amazed at the other 28 meals in there! I think he thought I had been sitting home all day watching TV!

Right I am supposed to be in the shower, and as the water is running DH can probably tell I am out so had better run! Speak to you all later!

    Morning all, :hello:

Very dull looking here, rained yesterday after i got washing out on the line Typical!!

I was awake most of the night due to my back pain yet again :( I'm not at physio until the 28th I must remeber to tell him that sleeping is becoming more hard work than the pain, think I will be on co-codamol today see if that helps.

Pippad - just seen the post  congrats on the new baby boy.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all in need.

    I shall return later.
