    Morning all!

treated myself to a lie in this morning, had brekkie in bed and read my book:D just what I needed. Had a falling out yesterday with DH and things are rather strained ATM:rolleyes: all over DS1 and getting him back on the road again after his accident. I am piggy in the middle with DH and my Mum and am fed up with it all:mad: all I ask is for a quiet life but I never seem to get one.

DS2 got 2 awards yesterday at his school leaving do - person who has an answer for everything and person with the most original excuses for not handing in homework! :D

Hoping to go and visit my friend today who is suffering from depression and is also poorly with a chest infection, we are hoping to pay a visit to another mutual friend also of work with depression - perhaps I'll feel better after this:D

Catowen - hope you enjoy your bath and dvd and that things work out with getting the 2 children to look after.

    MRS_Mix - (((hugs)))

Anniestar:hello: thanks for the PM -

Benthosboy - hope you get your bacon butty!;)

    off for a browse now

    Take care all!

    Morning all!

Bit gloomy here and air feels damp, dog is still not happy that "his" sunbed is no longer bathed in sunshine! Kids all gone off to school, dd3 happy as larry cos she needed a new lunchbox and found a very snazzy High School Musical one in Asda last night! I wasn't quite so thrilled when I looked at the price, why can't she use a plastic box like the others?! Anyway after a bit of negotion she donated the rest of her pocket money so that she could also have the matching cup - she's slowly learning that my bank card isn't magic and can't conjure money from nowhere!

Seems like I spent a fortune in Asda, think I did, but I did get some new napkins, a table cloth, new table mats, a deep fat fryer and a new kettle! Guess that'll be where the money went then!

Kids christened the fryer for tea last night, hm chips are so yummy! I made a vast amount of chilli, will have to freeze some later, but at least dinner tonight is taken care of!

Brain feels frazzled today, helped friend sort out paperwork, still more to do, but at least it's all organised now! Late night by the time we'd eaten, then dd3 climbed into bed with me and dd2 couldn't sleep cos apparently it was too light, so thought she'd wake me up for a chat to keep her company! Argh!

Not much housework to do today, need to stick washing machine on and make up some dough for french sticks, I love making them - got a funny french stick pan thing that makes the little bumpy bits on the bottom so they look like real ones - small things amuse me!

Not sure what kids are eating tonight, might be fahitas if I make some, they can then use up some of the chilli mountain for me! Prob accompanied by spicy wedges - or chopped up leftover baked potatoes as I know them!

Right waffling for England now, best go walk the barking beastie and then find some HSM tickets for the girls as promised!

Have a lovely day everyone xx

I'm meeting DD in town. I want to go into Debenhams and buy some more "Doreen" bras. They're the best ever, and normally they're £23 each, but in the sale they are £13, so I'm going to stock up!:T

OH over later. He was going to try and finish the new deck this weekend, but depends on the weather. Still we can go and get the rest of the wood if not.

    Enjoy the day!:T

Almo Our budget might not be a true indication of the norm iykwim. Firstly we grow a lot of our own veggies, don't eat meat, and cook from scratch. I also make my own bread, baking etc. I budget $200 per month. Thats £97 That's all cleaning, toiletries etc. There is 2 of us. But if you are close to markets they have good buys.
Congratulations in buying a home. Where about is it in Melbourne? My eldest brother lives in Ringwood. Not that I know where that is but it's not near the city.

    Taplady Enjoy your day. :D
Pink Do you really have pink hair? You & Twink could be sisters.

Off to have a shower. Just had tea. I didn't wait for DH. I was too hungry. :p Byeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning Chums,
well another week almost gone, where does the time fly to.
DGD is still enjoying her work experience at the special-needs school.
I am off to Maidstone today with the ladies from my craft class, we are doing 'lunch' there .8 of us on a two for one deal that we found, then going to have a mooch around the craft centre at Notcutts.I will try not to spend too much .
Tomorrow I have to take DGS 5 to his friends party as his Mum has to work, then afterwards I'm off to Faversham to visit my sis-in-law and see her photos from her trip to Mexico that she made to see my niece in April .I think she has booked us a meal at her local for tomorrow night, so it will be nice to go out in the evening .Tomorrow would have been my late husbands 75th birthday so we will raise a small glass of vino to him.
All in all a busy couple of days ahead. I start my r/therapy on Monday for 4 weeks, be glad when its all over and done with , still onwards and upwards hope everyone has a brilliant week-end and <<hugs to those who need them >> and a big :) to the rest of you
    Cheers JackieO x

It's looking very wet and miserable outside today, so there are plans to catch up with the housework I've been putting off :( My floors need a really good vacuum,f010.gif but I can't do that chore at the moment due to health, but there's no excuse for the dust that's gathering :o9.gifWe've loads of washing to get through too, and the wm is on it's second load, but will have to go over airers as it's too wet outside.

We watched the tonight programme on Monday regarding food prices / wastage ect, so this week the girls have been finding out all about rationing and OS, and not wasting food. It's been a good lesson topic for them and will hopefully see them well when they are adults.

I'm hoping to pop to the market tomorrow afternoon just before closing, as they sell off their fruit really cheaply, and I'm thinking of making some jam in the BM. I've not done it before but figure it's worth a go. Will have a search on OS to see if others have had success first, I think.

We went to a butterfly farm yesterday which was really good. We got to see a butterfly emerging from it's coccoon - fascinating! I'm going to order some caterpillars now, so we can see them at home.

Hope you all have a good day.

    Love Pipkin xxxx

    Hello

Been busy this week so not posted for ages, read yesterdays posts tho so am about up to speed!

Car situation has gone from bad to worse. Got springs/suspension fixed but i have now made things a lot lot worse :o

    The story so far . . . . . . . . . . . .

OH thinks he is a boy racer (he's 37 in Aug  ) so when he replaced the front springs on the car last week he got the garage to fit a lowering kit only he wasnt happy with it as he said it wasnt acctually any lower (we have a huge ford mondeo not some nippy corsa) i had the car yesterday and acctually the car is MUCH lower as i got the front nose stuck on the kerb when i parked up  I reversed back and cracked the front bumper which in turn buckled and dented the wheel arches :cry::cry::cry::cry:
Needless to say we are not speaking now, i'm not sure if he is furious at me or mad at himself. Probably both :o

Almo congrats on the house, we were sooooooooo excited last year when we purchased our first home so i know how you feel :D Save save save as much as you can where ever you can would be my advice!

Hillstep and any one else making debenhams purchases they have their mega day 25% off sale today. Not sure if it is on Saturday tho. Bag a bargain bra while you can!

My dad is coming for the weekend to help me do something to the garden :j I have a plan at last, some patio slabs, weedkiller and a shack come shed to put up :D Wont be expecting any help from OH tho, he will still be sulking no doubt :o DS will be vey happy digging random holes to his hearts content  You cant please 'em all

    Take care

    Morning all.
    Hope everyone is ok.
Hugs to smokey and mrs mix ((()))

Well tonight is mine and dh first evening out with no kids in years, and when i say years i mean it! I am really looking forward to it, although this may sound silly but not sure if we will cope!! As we normally have all 4 kids around to deal with not sure if we will end up sitting with nothing to say!!!LOL

So have got to find something to wear and as its flipping cold here my first plan of sleeveless top and cropped trousers gone out the window!!! Iv even gone to the effort of putting false nails on, hence why iv been typing this for half an hour and still not finished!!

Right must get on, have ironing to do and pack ds2 and dd bags ready for them staying overnight, the other 2 are having a great time in Malta they are back on tuesday, i have missed them so much even thought the house and washing have never been so under control!! Know who the mess 2 are now!!

Have a great day, wont be on later, hopefully will be being romanced!!! Yer right LOL

:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: Hi everyone

Well it is lovely to be back but we are really missing the blue skies-- it is grim here and I am off for a day out with dd2- what a shame.

(((((( hugs )))))) to all the poorly ones-- it sounds grim too.

    Special thoughts to Smokey

The pigrearing day sounds brilliant--- Aussie piccie made me smile

OH --- well -- still trying the freezer challenge. Just made Pasta and cottage cheese quiche which sounds a bit weird but is sooooooooooooo slimming and quite delicious.

DD2 is doing so well I thought I would cook her a few meals as a treat.

Mr Chalky has gone away for an " old " boys reunion. So after all these months 24/7 we will be apart. So its Rod on loudly and loads of pottering. Just wish it was dry as i wanted to go out into the wilderness of a garden we have returned to !!!!

Special gentle thoughts to all those feeling sad or alone and congratulations to all those celebrating.:hello: :hello: Wave for Taplady and DG
Try and do a good deed every day.
