Mrs-Mix - I also have you in my thoughts. I hope you are o.k.

Well it's been a funny old day, LO's minder is on holiday and so he's been at home with me in the mornings and given the bus routes and times I couldn't get to the cemetary. This afternoon my SIL arrived out of the blue and took me up there to leave some flowers and I have also planted some minature roses and told him that as the gardener he would have to keep an eye on them as until I can get mobile getting to see him is a problem.

I actually feel quite numb and very down interspaced with tears and anger and this evening I actually had to walk away from the LO (trashed his room and widdled on the floor) because my mouth was on the point of screaming at him.

On a happier note, my manager came to see me on Weds and has taken me off contract (no longer required to work weekends, bank hols and xmas) and has guaranteed me three mornings a week on the basis of relief staff - Tues, Weds and Thurs (that's no childcare on bank hols taken care of and me off for inset days which tend to happen on a Fri or Mon. She has also allowed me to start an hour later at 8am and now I just have to firm up the childcare.

Mr taxman has also written to me and decided as I now have the widow's pension my tax code will be the grand sum of 2L. I am allowed to earn £27 before being taxed.

I have also been to see my solicitor and am not able to apply for legal aid as it has been decided that it is a civil matter, however the case is looking good and for them to proceed further I have had to leave them 1k to pursue further avennues and to get a Barrister to look over things. (I will fill you all in when I am able.)

The eldest DS is off on an adventure day - orienteering and canoeing tomorrow with the cubs, my sis will be taking him and we will all go with her to pick him up and walk the dogs first.

Anyway I am off to sort him out some spare clothes and a lunchpack for tomorrow,

Smoky...you are such a strong woman, coping so well with all that you have gone through in the recent past, just take one day at a time and cut yourself some slack..hugs to you and your los.
