OS Daily Friday 16th May 2008

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 15th May, 2008. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before y ou go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning.

Misty and foggy here. A little disapointing considering I have a fishing trip booked today. I have seen several forcasts from showers to thunderstorms and sunny intervals. So I guess we wait and see. I don't mind fishing in the rain, but it can get a little tedious out in a boat all day with it raining on you.
But I am still looking forward to it. A fry up breakfast follwed by a 7-10 mile days fishing off Newquay. :D

The garden is growing nicely. I see the Hawthorns are all flowering. That's a bit of a nuicance as it is forcast rain all weekend and my bees won't be able to make best use of it.

I see fuel has gone up again. 5p a litre this week alone! I am not sure I can even heat my house next winter as heating oil is going up as will be electricity.

Anyway it's Friday... so have a nice weekend... and don't get wasted end up in a gutter or Police cell.

Well the voiceless barker, is now a sneezing, sniffing, streaming, voiceless barker. But I suppose it is coming out of me now, cotton wool for brains this morning, and it woke me up so been up since 5 am, been on here doing competitions finishing today as can't think of anything else I could be a**ed to do!

(((hugs))) all round. Enjoy your fishing n9eav not envious in the least. We went to Leeds yesterday and diesel was 119.9p a litre at White Rose Sainsburys, came home and the Somerfield in our village was 125.9.   Looks like checking round is the key.

    Morning all,
I didn't post yesterday as I was so busy. On the bedrooms situation I deceided to paint the twin bed bedroom so managed to do ceiling and walls, 2 coats, yesterday. Started at 6 and finished at 4. The last coat of satinwood on the beds today then I can sort the room out in readyness for my mum coming for the w/end.
No washing to be done but loads of ironing. Vacumed downstairs last night when DH went to the pub he thought he had deserved a pint after I asked him to clean the shower room, had to go over it after him, he always misses bits.
I read Wed and Thurs posts and I'm sending hugs and thoughts to Mrs Mix, Smoky, pen pin, anniestar, AB and Aussie. Sorry if I have forgotten anyone. x

Morning N9eav, DonnyGal and Betheebee and all who cross and follow.

It's really grey here, no rain yet.

Plan today to do some more studying. Need to go to the butchers to get some meat for Sunday, fancy a nice bit of beef. Also have to get my train ticket for Saturday. Hopefully I might get to the allotment at some point to finish weeding my onions and to put my sweetcorn in.

vICKYA well done on getting all your children off stabilisers. DS is nearly 7 and still insists on having them on. He's told me he will take them off when he's 7 and I'm holding him to it!

Off to get organised. Have a good day all and hugs to all who want one.

Morning N9eav, Donnygal & everyone else who follows
i`m sat sitting at w**k with a big red face after spending all day in the garden for the last two days moving railway sleepers and patio slabs:rolleyes:
Today i`m back behind the desk where i`d rather not be, i love being outside.

When i get home later the houndlets will be walked again, i took them for a short walk around 5am and DH will be taking them again when he gets up, hope the weathers nice and not the rain that we`ve been expecting.

The wm & dw have been on but as i`m not there to empty them i hope that DH remembers - bet he dosen`t.

If you want to find the cheapest petrol/diesel near to where you live register with www.petrolprices.com they email you with the cheapest prices in your area, i`ve used them for a while now and found it very useful, hope this helps someone.

Well nothing exciting to report so i`ll get back to the grind.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Catch up later.
