Welcome back BL, glad you're still on your travels.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Just checking my watch now... 20 degrees. Yeah, pretty cold.

So, any tips for getting rid of a couch surfer, guys?

Hoping all is well with you, B_L.

Couch surfers usually respect the direct approach. In the past I've found the line, "I can give you a lift to the train station tomorrow, because, goodness knows, I can't keep you!" works a treat.

Don't you find it rains a lot in Sydney in the winter or was I just unlucky ?

Mind you being snowed-in by a "blizzard" in the Blue Mountains was something of a lucky magic experience.

I've popped back for a few weeks!

My lodgers gave in their notice - they're moving back to Spain - so I'm giving the house a good lot of decoration and getting some newbies in.

This weekend, no fewer than ELEVEN people came round to view the two rooms, and I've so far had six applications back...

What a shame they're *all* so lovely :o

If the property in Wales is no longer your main residence as you now live in Australia, are these people really lodgers or will they be tenants?
