- NiceSoFarLodger has properly moved out, of course leaving some stuff behind, mainly the fridge-freezer (happy with that) and a brand new, huge computer desk (not sure I really want the hassle of this).
- Stella the chicken was dead. A coincidence that she was NiceSoFar's chicken..?
Well if it isnt thats terrible because even a layer is eatable if you cook it long and slow. Its a terrible waste.
Whats the latest on quackerslodger? You seem to be slacking on updates lately.
Thanks for the thread though :j:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0 -

Not a lot of news... the other chooks seem fine...
Quackers is now taking piano lessons from me, which is funAnd her housing benefiit is now officially sorted although it seems to be rather slow actually making its way into my pocket! Partly my fault I guess for going away so much.
Cleaning day yesterday went very well - still not perfect (there's a small piece of chicken poo on the downstairs steps that's been there for over a month now) but definitely a marked improvement!
Oh and I eBayed us a new cooker to replace the Freecycle one that was stood on bricks, and I unwired / rewired them myself on Tuesday. All went well - I didn't die - but the new cooker doesn't appear to actually cook. Which is a disadvantage.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

Yeah, cheers Harry - my wiring's actually pretty old. Will be updating it. After the plumbing (I currently have a bedpan catching water in my bedroom, which is on the middle floor of 3!).
Installing a cooker should be eeeeeeeeasy though, no harder than changing the fuse on a plug. I must have just missed a "power" switch or somethingOr the cooker is genuinely broken.

OK dudes, blatant splam attack: http://!!!!!!/rWsa4 I really want to sell my car!
However, of course I wouldn't leave you without an update - Quackers and I have finally booked a houseparty to celebrate her moving in. Massively looking forward to having all my neighbours and colleagues over.
We're cooking on a gas camping stove because I have no idea how to make the real cooker work. And I've been recommended a plumber that might stop Narnia from leaking.
I spoke to NiceSoFar on the phone just now too - he's going to pop round later and pick up his post.
But we think that Fred the chicken may be on her way out... she's still performing chicken bodily functions but in a very slowed-down, dreary way. I'm pretty sure the purple tinge to her crop and comb signifiy circulatory problemsMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Hi B_L - hope that things are going okay for you now? Have you replaced NSF Lodger since he moved out, or is it just you and Quackers just now?
Love the sound of the TV programme, sounds like a hoot!0
