I'm coming to the end of my tracker rate deal - was on 0.94%! The SVR is 3.5% so I'm sticking to that; if you can find me a cheaper deal, let me know

News of the day! Each of the lodgers has asked me to write them a letter, so here they are:
Dear QuackersLodger,
It is with regret that I have to write to you regarding late payment of rent.
To date, your rental payments have been:
xxxx
If you refer to point 10.3 of your Houseshare Agreement (hard copy enclosed), you will see that after 10 days late payment I am within my rights to terminate our agreement. It has now been 16 days since your rent was due.
I understand that you’ve been having some difficulties with housing benefit this is why I have offered you an extended grace period. However, I do have running costs to pay and a queue of lodgers willing to move in so I simply can’t keep stalling indefinitely; particularly since your next rental payment is due on xxxx.
Unless you can pay the outstanding amount by Wednesday 8th July, I will have to ask you to leave. If you have concerns about being able to make this payment, please begin preparations for a new place to live.
Yours sincerely,
Badger_Lady

To whom it may concern,
Reference for NiceSoFarLodger
NiceSoFar was a lodger in my property (detailed above) from May 2008 until July 2009. His rent was initially £320 per month, but was dropped to £290 per month in December 2008 as a reward for his longevity.
During this time, he has proved very reliable in paying rent and in communicating any concerns with the property. He has also been pleasant company, considerate to his neighbours and housemates, and respectful of the fixtures and furnishings.
In general, I would recommend NiceSoFar as a lodger and tenant, and am genuinely sorry to see him leave my property.
Please feel free to contact me on the above phone number or at xxx@xxx.com for any further information or clarification.
Yours Sincerely,

Love reading the thread and look at it most lunch times to see if there has been an update. I must say its an odd world living with a lodger. Mine regularly brings round monks from Nepal dressed in the bright orange shawls. I'm the proud owner of the only blessed toilet at my apartments!0

Aww, cheers Hillwalker!
Well NiceSoFarLodger has completely failed to move out - he's asked to postpone until this weekend. I'll be away (as usual!) so we'll see...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
