What do you do the other nights of the week? Presume you don't go back to normal soap based-products?
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
Well I visited a dermatologist today (has only taken me 3 years to get a referral!) and when I told her I used the OCM she visably winced and told me that jojoba and castor oil contained mineral oils? I didn't think that they did! Do they?
My skin tolerates the OCM, so I don't know what else to try? I like the sound of starflower oil, hmm.0 -

I'm not sure where she got that from. Look at the ingredients on your bottles. I use Jojoba oil and castor oil, and both of mine say 100% is the named oil, nothing else... So I don't know how they could contain mineral oils.
Jojoba oil comes from the seed of the jojoba bush and castor oil from the castor bean, so both very definitely vegetable (well, flower/seed), not mineral0 -

Thank god for that!! She had me worried. I like the OCM, it keeps my skin okish but its beginning to become this long drawn out process. I really wish I could find a decent cleanser that didn't break me out. Oh well, OCM for now.0 -

Did she explain how mineral oils get into these plant oils?
I think you should "out" her so that we can demand an explanation

I'd be very interested to know why "mineral oil" is so feared. Many natural ingredients, including essential oils, can be skin irritants. Once Marketing and vain, impressionable young women meet, new science can be created

but so are most chemicals in creams anyway, and pretty much every toiletry, cosmetic & beauty products will have something that isn't natural in there. unless obviously you pay the extra premium for certain ranges.
please dont think im nitpicking or anything, i was just interested as the comment about the dermatologist wincing when someone mentioned OCM (i too dont get how they thought the natural oils would have mineral oils in either??) as my oh when he goes to the dermatologist for his skin( very bad ezcema, psoriasis etc) he has been advised to make sure he uses vaseline derma care cream to help his skin, and that has mineral oil in?
i suppose its like everything nowadays, different strokes for different folks.... OCM although my skin felt lovely, it brought me out in HUGE boils on my face  i have actually just been given a clinique 3 step set, which seems to finally be shifting the marks left by the boils, i love the face wash, and the clarifying lotion (its the new formula) and i like the dramatically diff lotion too, although not as much as my cheapy avon solutions one!! but i do use it once or twice a week for boost! Please be nice to all moneysavers!
