We went to Prestatyn a few years back and really enjoyed it. We like Colwyn bay mountain zoo which isn't too far away and then you have Rhyl and Towyn, Rhyl used to have a good fun fair but that was taken down last year but there is a fair in Towyn....
Not sure if you like markets and bootsales but they have a decent one in Towyn on Saturdays and Sundays and a giant Bootsale in Rhuddlan which is close aswell..

Thanks, will prob check out the zoo. the kids wanted to go to a fair so looks like we will be off to Towyn too. Is there still a market on a weekday at Rhyl as we used to enjoy walking round the one that used to be behind the fair but not sure if its there anymore or what day and dont want to miss it!

Not sure if they have that market in Rhyl anymore,I think there's one on a Wednesday in Towyn and they have a midweek one in Prestatyn..
The suncentre is really good aswell in Rhyl but wasn't cheap to get in and you have a large pool in Pontins so might be a bit of a waste of money.

llandudno is a good place to visit. There is usually a chair lift across the Great orme too, but Mum said it is off at the moment

Thee is a castle in Rhuddlan and one in Conway not too far away

Thanks OH realised hes now got to work so we wont be getting there till about 7!! Was starting to think we might have to sleep in the car!!

Please does anyone have a spare holiday for anytime...the sooner the better and even this monday would be great...even tonight if you cant go!!

Anywhere would be great but southport or prestatyn would be easiest for us.

We had one of these booked but hadnt had a confirmation, when i called with my reference number they said we had no booking made and they couldnt find it from my name and address either...really disapointed!!

We are completely gutted as it was planned for my birthday and with a new baby due in July we have no chance of a holiday this year now.

If anyone has a spare holiday that they cant take we would be very very grateful!!

Never ever ever ever got to pontins southport
It was foul we got there at 5.30pm yesterday and walked into our appartment that wouldnt have looked out of place in a detention camp. It was filthy so I thought ok will give it a bit of a clean, wiped the tables, kitchen, bathroom down etc and thought would clean the bathroom floor of what I thought was a dark grey lino..so gets down with cleath and wipes one bit to find that no actually it is supposed to be light grey :roll:
Then G and I looked at the cesspit..I mean bed we were supposed to be sleeping in and it was horrendous we couldnt even sit on it so we decided we would each share with one child and we had the travel cot for dd2.
The whole place stunk but thought well its only a base we will go and have a look around.
We went over to the main centre and it was about 7.30pm by this time so we got dinner which was really nice. Then went to watch the bluecoats which to be fair the kids loved then took them back to appartment by about 9.45pm and put them all to bed. G and I went not long after but the bed was disgusting it felt damp and horrible and the bedroom stunk.
When we woke up this morning we noticed there were tons of stains all on the sheets and bedcovers that hadnt come from us dd1s chest was really wheezy which think was the damp so we told A we would be coming home and would get them a trampoline instead. A was devestated as of course kids dont see the dirt. However took them over to what looked like a lovely play park only to be greated by 2 used condoms !!!!!!!!! puts them by a kids play area never mind just on the floor....
Anyways that was enought for me but thought I had lost my purse so we had to turn the beds over and am just glad we didnt do that before we went to sleep last night otherwise I would have just been awake...lol they were soooo foul I cant even describe...worst bit is as I handed in the key told girl I would be complaining and how foul the site was etc and she just nodded her head and said yes we know please complain

Am just soooo glad it was a freebie so instead have spent the afternoon using our spending money on a trampoline and putting it together for the kids!!
