i don't mind dirty - i can clean. i don't mind rubbish food - i can cook, i don't mind expensive drinks - we don't drink much and don't go on holiday to get drunk, we have kids to look after - but are the people really so terrible?

has anyone been on a weekend to southport? we're cheap and cheerful people and we live on a council estate but these tales of drunken sex on the lawns and swearing make me shudder.

we can just use it as a base but i want to be able to take my children to the park or swimming without having to put up with type of people the reviews describe - and if there are people having loud parties at 3am i want security to shut them up, not just tell me tough!

We have been twice to Pontins, Breen and Prestatyn, both times the chalets have been clean. basic but fine! As for drunken louts, I did hear of the police being called at Prestatyn, but as we were in bed, before the bars close, we never saw any trouble, nor was woken up by loud parties, to be honest you could go to Spain and encounter this, it's pot luck,the ppl we encountered were fine, nice ppl. Just go and enjoy yourselves!

we're not snobs, it's just that i don't want my kids being frightened, or not being able to sleep. we had a terrible weekend in prestatyn haven last time we went and the people were awful. my husband says it's always like that in that area in the august bank holiday, and that we should be okay out of season.

we've been to lots of havens but not been to pontins before so i wasn't sure.

your not mum to noah off raising kids are you?lol,will be lovely to see ya there,i might need a sick bucket if yer snogging to much,lol,ignore me am only jealous lol,last time i had a snog was back before the dinosaurs lmao

Well im going to prestatyn in july and i cant wait bad review or not its my holiday and ill make it what i want to make it.

Sex on the lawn, youngsters drunk, arguments hey!! people pay £1000`s to go to spain for the privellige of seeing all that.

I go to haven twice a year with the sun hols, how do pontins compare to haven??Never been to pontins before, but cant wait
We love it in haven, again its cheap and cheerful, basic accomodation but we love it!!

hey listen folks, when it comes to cleanliness I am the worlds worst. I have OCD to do with hygiene, cleanliness, germs etc. Fortunaely it is mainly centred around the home; I could not even go on holiday if it extended elsewhere, but even so, I am fussy. But I look at it that it is a free holiday. I take cloths and dettox with me and clean all the surfaces and the bathroom. The worst last yr was the floor which really was minging and as we cannot just waltz in in our shoes in a place we are living in, I tok old socks to put on each time we went in. (You should have seen the coklour of em lmao) and i chucked em away at the end of the week.

But the park is great for the kids, loads for them to do, and mosgt places have beaches or places of interest nearby. A break is as good as you make it. We always have a whale of a time, and those of you worried about hygeine, how many of you walk into your homes with your shoes on, carrying in remnants of saliva, faeces and general dirt?? How many of you don't wash your hands thoroughly every time you use the loo? (I rarely see anyone doing any more than a quick rinse when I am on holiday!!) Cos those 2 are far worse than a bit of muck in a chalet for a few days believe me!!

Just go along and make the most of a great freebie.

I have only been to Pontins at Camber - but been to a few Havens -personally prefer Haven.

I am putting flash wipes in the car and maybe sleeping bags/kids ready beds..lol

bently, pontins re haven? I'v ehad 24 haven hols over the past 13 yrs. (Going again Autumn using clubcard deals)

Now have are generally better accomodation and usually cleaner (though have had a few grotty ones lol)
But pontins have far more for the kids to do. haven were brill years ago but they've upped the prices and downed the activities over the years. Pontins beats them hands down for the kids, and their pools are open later than haven too

im not sure who am i on there. i just go on to comp lol. this baby brain means i dont remember much recently . like you spread butter with a knife not a spoon lol.
im sure by that time he will have been back a week and ill have had enough of him again and be long awaiting the next course lol. love him really
