Am I being a bit blind here? I can see very little difference whatsoever. The only 2 differences I can see are that some of the headlines are in a blue font instead of being in black capitals and the money mutterings have been pushed further and further down the tip and moved to the right [which was done last week] - when arguably the mutterings should be right at the top! I always listen to the mutterings first - as they give you an overview of the tip - listening to them afterwards seems rather pointless to me...

And on the subject of mutterings, why was the 'mutterings for individual articles' idea seemingly abandoned after just a few articles being "mutterised"?

  • Yes I like the new look, although there are some odd little symbols appearing every now and again. Mostly small rectangles......or is it just my machine! Good font, clear and easy to follow.

Definately better! Well done! I am a web designer, so trust me. It was much easier to follow your tips. Thanks :)

Sorry have to disagree with Den. Being a web designer as well I would probably never use a serif font in an electronic page? I know it may hinder legibility for dyslexic people but I think the typography for Tip should be in a sans-serif font.

I would recommend using Georgia which was designed for screen use if the typography of Tip is to stay in a serif style. Also line-height can improve readability.

The tip is in Sans serif- it's done in Arial - i wonder if you are getting a slightly distorted version aj?

    Didn't notice any difference (sorry).
Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
    They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").

Well, while we're on the subject - can anyone give me any ideas how I can stop Outlook from dumping it into the spam folder? I've tried adding the sender's name to the safe sender's list and I've tried adding the sender's domain name to the safe sender's list, but still it goes straight into the spam folder!

I'm using Outlook (husband, for some reason, won't entertain the idea of Outlook Express), and I'm having to remember to be extra cautious before just deleting everything in the spam folder.

I thought the new tip was much easier to read and easier on the eye,
the bold blue headings are better than the old black ones which tended to blur into the other text icon7.gif

Much preferred the new look. Only subtle differences but made it much easier to read. :)
