Nice clear site - as above, there are a few typos, e.g. on the 'How to apply' page it says 'The online applcation form' instead of 'The online application form', and 'Anything that fits the charities' remit' should be 'Anything that fits the charity's remit' (unless you're running more than one charity! Oooh I'm such a pedant).
Also, the home page mentions that you can volunteer your services and expertise as well as make a donation, but I cannot find any more information about this elsewhere on the site.
I was about to post about that.0 -
I think I've misunderstood
I thought you meant link from the charity page to the MSE site, whatever, you should link both ways :rotfl: if you see what I mean!

As far as I can see, you're not giving any examples at all of what sort of courses qualify. And while I've never seen a website like this, i.e. giving grants for courses, I have to say it felt incredibly unfriendly, with warnings about fraud all over the place. I understand why you have to have them, but they could be phrased in a manner thats a little more friendly....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Out of interest I just clicked on the A A A without realising they increased the font size, good idea but nothing to tell you that is what they do.0

Nice clear site, from what I've seen so far, although it does seem to have a lot of long words on the home page.
One bit missing:
Donations from well-wishers. Anyone who wants to support the charity is more than welcome. For the many who've said in the past they'd like to donate to MoneySavingExpert.com as it's saved them money, the answer is to donate to this charity How to Donate
I think that How to Donate should be a button or a link, but at the moment it's not! Although I have found at least one more How to Donate link.
On the FAQs, the picky among us would like the Operations Manager to always or never have capital letters (I'd go for always, myself!)
I've done a test application: one question is how someone is going to know that a course is 'approved' or not.
Going to tell DH about the charity, btw, to see if the MSECharity would be willing to support a course which the charity he works for offers!

I really really like it!! I did an individual application. One of the questions has a typo "thatn" instead of "that". I apologies for my overuse of the word test, but as it was just a test for you I hope you wont mind too much
(the information i gave was not accurate nor true, it was a test!) well done martin, you're our hero

Looks great!
Just done a test application and one VERY minor thing:
when you submit your application a page opens that says 'thanks' but you are left at the bottom of the page, you need to scroll up to find the text. This may baffle some Users and leave them unsure if they have submitted an application or not.
Also agree with others that a confirmation email would be good.
Well done MSE :beer:Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0 -
Great Idea! There are two many young people who have no idea of the consequences of debt. i know a young girl who has 1 child another on the way and keeps getting into debt. She now has her phone cut off! What next? It would be great for young people.0

looks great, very easy to navigate, but i feel that a lot of the info about what will/wont qualify for a grant and the how to apply info would take me several reads to get my head around. not sure if im just tired after a long day of exams or if it could benefit from being made simpler and idiot friendly (remember if you are trying to improve consumer literacy than a lot of those applying may not know the first thing about funding applications, keeping recipts to prove costs etc. the articles here explain complex issues very well - maybe thats the step by step style thats needed? otherwise you may find yourselves getting a LOT of emails from confused people!)know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Thanks everyone for your feedback so far, it's a huge help.
I've proofed it and changed what I can including a lot of the points you've mentioned although the forms are Google Documents and I can't do those but please do keep the feedback coming in case I've missed something.
