I use the extended wear contacts (Focus night and day). However, I do noy not sleep in them all night. They are great if you tend to nod off on the sofa in the evening because you don't have to worry and also for plane journeys as it means you can sleep without taking them out. I have slightly dry eyes, however since i've worn extended wear contacts i've had no problems. They are also good if you spend long periods in front of the computer.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0

I've worn extended wear lenses for over 2 years now and think they are great - I wear them for a month - day and night with no problems (to be honest I forget that I wear lenses!). I get mine from Specsavers and have regular checks to make sure everything is ok.0

I have been thinking about these for a while (am a lapsed dailies wearer, now just wear glasses). The only thing is, I go swimming regularly - I would wear goggles for ordinary swimming, but just my glasses for Aqua Aerobics. (Currently have prescription goggles.)
Does anybody have experience of regular swimming in extended wear lenses?Operation Get in Shape

I wear my lenses for aqua aerobics. Sometimes if I'm near someone who likes to splash a lot  I've got to sort of close my eye and look left, right, up down to kind of reposition it. I don't know if that's because they're torics or not though. I also find I have to do that in the shower sometimes. I don't do proper swimming so can't help you there but would have thought you'd still need goggles if you're going underwater:smileyhea0 -
be careful -
I spoke to 2 separate specsavers opticans about trying these - both tried to put me off - even though they were more expensive than the ones i was on.
Both said they had seen too many issues with them to recommend them - this is probably more down to the wearer but i was put off slightly
turns out when i trialled them they didn't agree with me as they felt quite scratchy in my eyesHad a thrifty wedding 17-06-10

can you order lenses from the USA - withe £/$ exchange they are about 2/3 the price of lenses here.
I wear continuous wear Purevision lenses and i can't seem to find them online at a cheap price. Does anyone know the best place to buy these? I'll probably just go for 3 months worth.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I get them from specsavers online. £48.50 for six pairs equivalent to just over £8 a month.0 -
Just started wearing daily contact lenses from Specsavers, and am currently paying £22 for 30 pairs. I'm on the Sainsburys comparison chart trying to work out the equivalent brand but I'm not sure whether I have the B&L Easyvision One Day, or the CIBA Easy Vision One Day contact lenses.
Is there a way of finding out? What's the difference?0
