Hi guys!
I was just wondering if anyone on here knows how much the Boots scheme for monthly disposable soft lenses is. I currently pay £10 a month with specsavers, but just wanted to see if boots is any better when you include advantage points..?
Thanks!
With solution it's £14 a month for me. I'm not sure about the advantage points though, I don't have a card.0 -

If you take the packaging into Specsavers they may be able to tell you, or post all the details on here and I can try to find out (eg UV55, BC8.4 diam14.4 etc, whatever is written on the packs will help identify them)
Hi wishiwasarichgirl,
I got my contacts today and they are coopervision proclear soft contact lenses (BC 8.6, DIA 14.2) . I'm currently paying £14 a month with boots including solution although when I went to collect them today they said the solution would be with the next lot, which isn't until July so I'm not too happy about that.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems as if Specsavers are the cheapest place that I can find, 6 months of lenses and solution comes to £53.50 compared to the £84 I'm paying at the moment.0 -
hey Brodel, Specsavers sell Proclear monthlies for £10 per month including solutions & CL check-ups instore, they are branded as Specsavers Easyvision All Day. Probably cheaper on line but you don't get the check ups included.

Hi
I have just been to pick up some monthley soft lenses from Specsavers, at £15 a month inc solutions and aftercare.
I used to wear GP lenses and had done for 20 years, but wanted to be able to swap between contacts and glasses, liked the idea of daily soft, but was told due to my high prescription, I could only go for monthlies.
Anyhow been wearing glasses for 18 mths and don`t like them, they get in the way and my sight does not seem to be as good, sight not too good in these new contacts- told i could have some special made but £22 a month-the one`s at £15 are leagal to drive in.
Had a lot of trouble getting the soft ones out- supose it does get better with practise?
Anyhow, anyone know of good deals on high prescription toric soft or GP lenses?
Thank you0 -

Hi there
I dont know any good deals, but just wanted to say that I had worn GP lenses for about 5 years or so, and switching to soft was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have never looked back as I find them so much more comfortable. You dont have to worry about them moving around in your eye as they automatically fall into place. I also get less irritatation and dont "cry" as much with soft lenses.
Getting soft ones out use a different technique to GP and it really is just practise. Took me ages and ages to learn!! You dont have to flick/blink them out as with GP. I usually move them off my eye into the bottom white area using my finger, then with my thumb and first finger kind of peel it off my eye. now it takes me 5 secs and i dont have to look in the mirror.
I have very bad eyesight as well, my prescription power is -7.00! i get my lenses from specsavers, if you dont need aftercare online specsavers/tescos/postoptics etc can be better value. However, if you are new to lenses i would recommend going for a package which includes aftercare. All men hear is blah, blah, blah, blah, SEX, blah, blah, blah, FOOD, blah, blah, blah, BEER:wall:0 -

Thanks, looks like I'm going to switch then. One last question with regards to ordering online, the contacts I was fitted with at boots are 0.25 weaker than the results of my eye test, even though the eye test and contact lense appointment were days apart, is this normal?
I'm assuming I should order according to my current contact lense prescription and not the eye test results.0
