  • Not ordered off these guys but my advice is only order off a company in the UK and one that has a telephone number in case of problems. I use Eyebuddy.co.uK where you get extra discount if you give them 5 "buddies" email addresses, which is then doubled if they then register and goes up to about 40% if they buy. This is on top of good savings in the first place especially off Johnson & Johnson Acuvue brand lenses.

Eyebuddy seem to sell everything including designer glasses and sunglasses. I also got a spare pair of glasses "Jean Garre Bill" for less than £10 including P&P. Ok they're geeky but I prefer to call them geek chic!

Yes, recently i have ordered my Acuvue lenses from this Contactlensesexpress.co.uk site. Its quite easy to order online and they are giving offers that saved my money a lot. I have purchased 1 month supply of daily lenses and received 5 pairs free, quite a interesting money saving because no one in UK providing such offers, see the site once. This is a UK website and had the phone number, customer care help, why am saying is i am mistakenly entered my prescription details but they called me and corrected the prescription details, thanks to them.
  • I thought there would be a discussion on problems which we face using contact lenses but here is nothing like that.

Sorry if this has already been asked....

At my recent contact lens check, my astigmatism has increased in my left eye so I have been advised to change this lens to a toric lens. As I'm very happy with my current lenses, they have said they will allow me to keep my current daily disposable lenses (with a change of prescription) and review me in 6 months.

Does anyone use these toric lenses? Specifically just in one eye and a normal lens in the other? as it was mentioned that I will notice the difference in the lenses and they might not be as comfortable, not to mention the increase in price!

I didnt notice the change(in comfort) from normal to Toric

I received this discount code after purchase on getlenses.co.uk
Feel free to use it, I guess it will only work once. You might want to check Tesco prices first as they seem cheaper but the delivery is long.

I get my monthlys from specsavers for £15/month

it would of been £18 with solution, but since they stay in all month there's very little point in spending the extra £3/month
  • Does anyone know where I can purchase Acuvue Oasys online? At present I buy them from Asda at £33 for three months supply. Just wondering if there are any stores supplying them for cheaper than this?

I have been wearing my latest soft contact lens now for 2 years and 7 months and in the last week i have found them a little uncomfortable and a slight bit blurred is it time for new ones

How long should soft contact lens be used for before it is time for a new pair ?

    I have a question!

I have just gotten my first pair of contact lenses and as they are on a trial, I am trying to work out if they're OK for me or not.

I have a strong astigmatism in addition to being short sighted and so have limited options as to what I can get away with. I'm unable to get dailies and so have been offered monthlies and at the moment am trialling a pair of toric lenses which seem easy enough to put in/take out and feel comfortable enough, however, that's where the positive stuff ends...

However, the lenses I have are not so easy to wear. I can't seem to focus on anything further away then 30 cm which is actually better then my normal vision, but where as my normal vision just blurs everything past arms length, these lenses just make everything appear with double vision.

I've no idea if this is to do with my eyes getting used to the lenses and if I persevere my eyes will get used to them, but after 2 hours a day-the most I seem to be able to tolerate, the double vision has gotten too bad by that point.

Is this me, or is it the lenses?
