Hello all,
I just found this thread about 2 mins ago and I haven't read much... the title got me into it. I am a contact lenses wearer and spend about £33 a month on mine. They are very special for a long wear though, but I feel I could be paying less if I found something cheaper still the same quality/category. I get a free eye test a year for glassess and contacts. And I pay an extra £10 for a pic taken of the back of my eye (to see any changes there). This is with Boo.s. I hope they don't increase the price, but you never know. Any ideas very welcome. Please PM me if you wish.

I understand specsavers use retinal photography free of charge if it's necessary for your eyes, although this is part of your eyetest rather than contact lens assessment. Have you looked at getting the lenses (ie same brand & strength) you currently buy from a reputable online source?
Having said that, you'd still need to budget for an annual lens assessment either at Boots or a different, (perhaps cheaper) opticians.0 -
I bought my lenses from Killeen Vision Source, an online optical store. They provided me the lenses along with a signed prescription.0

How on earth can they provide you with a signed prescription, if they have never seen you/Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

And why would you feel confident using those lenses? I suspect the poster is spamming a US company.0

Anyone tried Acuvue TruEye lenses?0

Thought id recommend contact lens comparison websites for you guys. There are a few and lenscompare.co.uk is the best ive seen. Has many products and provides frequently updated prices from various online retailers. I've used it several times now and saved alot by switching retailers.0

Sorry if this has already been asked....
At my recent contact lens check, my astigmatism has increased in my left eye so I have been advised to change this lens to a toric lens. As I'm very happy with my current lenses, they have said they will allow me to keep my current daily disposable lenses (with a change of prescription) and review me in 6 months.
Does anyone use these toric lenses? Specifically just in one eye and a normal lens in the other? as it was mentioned that I will notice the difference in the lenses and they might not be as comfortable, not to mention the increase in price!0 -
Great information thanks for this post0

Great post one more thing, I would like to ask is that which lens solution to be preferred.0
