No idea of lenses separately, but for complete glasses try glasses direct. Really quick delivery and they do an option where you can trial frames at home.0

Hello
I'm looking for cheap saline solution (as it's cheaper to use this for rinsing and the contact lens solutions for soaking).
Does anyone know where I can buy it, preferably online?0 -
Avoid perfect glasses and exclusive eyes (both seem to be the same company)
If you google perfect glasses reviews you will see experiences typical of mine.
Long wait for glasses (or no delivery at all). Cant contact by phone or email. Lots of hassle and frustration.
Best to go for asda 2 for £90 or glassesdirect.
OMG I nearly bought my glasses from these guys until I became suspicious about the fact that the site looked very much the same as one I had visited earlier that day – turns out both websites are run by the same crooks. When I Googled ‘perfect glasses reviews’ there were loads of horror stories from customers who were made to wait over a month for their specs or even worse, received nothing at all!
I ended up taking someone’s advice on these forums and went with online glasses direct – they were very professional, easy to use and most importantly they were based here in the UK.
You have to be so careful these days when ordering from retailers online these days as so many are based in places such as China or India but try to give the impression that they are based in the UK to try and entice you to buy from them.
The moral – always do your homework.0 -

Some of my family live in India, so when I go to visit, I get my glasses there, at a high street optician! It works out much cheaper, and they are safe, as we've used them for generations. Maybe they should explore the UK market?

Someone else may have better advice, but with regards to needing a written prescription; I've just come off the D&A direct debit delivery scheme 'cause it's overpriced. I'm going to start ordering my lenses from the Internet (currently looking at Lenstore). From what I found, you just need her current lens prescription (written on the box or on the contact lens packet itself) which you put into the order. I've taken an order as far as the checkout with Lenstore (to see what P&P would be) and not once was asked for written proof of my prescription. So if she's confident it's not changed, then she shouldn't have a problem.wonderwallet wrote: »Hi there, I just just have a quick question...
My daughter has just come back from travelling and took with her 9 months supply of Acuvue Moist Daily lenses that she bought from D&A. As she has spent every last penny, she can't afford to sign up to the D&A monthly scheme again as it is too dear but she knows her prescription hasn't changed.
Do you think that she would be able to use one of the Internet sites in order to get her lenses without going to the optitions again for a check up? She knows her prescription already but as previously mentioned in this thread, D&A do not give you a written lense prescription so I am not sure if this would be needed in order to get them sent out.
Also, do you know the cheapest place to get Acuvue Moist lenses?
Thanks!
For the cheapest, I was recommended https://www.daysoftcontactlenses.com I can't use them because they don't seem to cater for Astigmatism (fair enough.) But they do Acuvue Moist, so have a look

Wise choice Joan.
Glasses direct are ace now (I wasnt so keen on them a few years ago). They seem to have excellent quality control checks in place now.
Had a problem with my order at glasses direct (frame went out of stock after I ordered it). They went the extra mile and ordered me a more expenive frame without additional cost.
Well done glassesdirect.
P.S> remember to quidco them for 18% cashback.0 -
Daysoft only sell compatible lenses so if you need a specific lens they may not be suitable.0

Wonderwallet,
Any reputable website will check the prescription with the optician before posting lenses out, this is to comply with the law and also to cover the websites back as you wont believe the amount of muppets who type a spex prescription into the net and just pick a random lens instead of getting a check up.
I think your only problem would be that your daughters prescription might be out of date, they usually last a year and if she got 9 months supply then it sounds like the aftercare is imminent, they wont supply without a valid aftercare.
Would it be cheaper for your daughter to get a complete new fit at a different opticians? If she tells the optician that only acuvue worked for her before then they'd most likely refit her with those anyway.0 -
Re. specsavers dailies, we've had deliveries from Bausch and Lomb with specsavers packaging but no idea what grade these lenses would be on the specsavers chart or even the exact lenses that are in them.0

Hi, I used to pay £13/month at specsavers for my contacts, I think they're the premium ones:

But now I'd like to save money and bulk buy online. However I don't know what their name is- is it these? http://www.asda-contactlenses.co.uk/product/ciba-vision-air-optix-aqua=349
Thanks in advance
