Good morning all!
Lovely and sunny again in Somerset, must water the seeds in a bit before the heat frazzles them. 3 big kids all packed off to school, dd3 glued to Tracy Beaker picking up tips for future bad behaviour no doubt! Just having a quick coffee and browse.
Need to hoover and get bm, dw and wm doing their things, also make some pizza bases for tonights tea, so long as we can cook it on the bbq the kids don't care what we eat! Then off for a nap as was working last night and again tonight, else I shall be dropping.
Have a lovely day all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Mrs Mix - how's your Dad?
Penny. x
He's been moved to the specialist nursing home so seeing him has been made easier as you can go and see them anytime after 11am so I'm going this morning and hopefully he will be awake as at the hospital he seemed to be awake all morning and asleep all afternoon
Morning everyone
Pen Pin speak to the doctors they will help I was a basket case before mine and they do understand
good luck to PippaD
Hope you get on ok Arkonite
((((((((((hugs))))))))) to everyone
I did some baking yesterday as I was fed up so that helped get rid of my frustrations
today I'm going to see my dad then giving ds1 a lift to college
then if I'm felling brave I might defrost the freezers and clean the oven as something was spilled in there yesterday and I don't think I wiped it properly
then I need to sort out dinner not sure what to have I think the kid's are getting fed up of salad but it's been to hot for much else
have a good day
pam xxI didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you

Morning everyone!
Chill and cloudy here too so I'm off to get my cardy too Catznine!! Off to Opticians this morning for a follow up contact lens check, and also taking mum for an eye test to sort her out some new glasses! I took my sister while she was in Oz and got her sorted out, and she liked hers to has decided to go get tested!
Taking DS2 to docs later to get some cream for a rash that wont go and needs hydrochortisone - he had it before when he was little and I had to change washing powders etc - I think its come back because I used Bold recently.....back to the non-bio and fairy!
Pizza and salad for tea tonite, nice and quick as it's beaver scouts for DS2.
Good luck to AB & PP at the hospital this week xx

mrs-mix i read somewhere to use a solution of salt and warm water to defrost the freezer, i gave my big one to kyle and have her smaller one now, it doesnt get too iced up as i do it quite often, i use a spray bottle to do it and give it a good wipe down with clean water
shez you mean caithness glass, think they have closed now but still one in Perth i think, i have a paper weight from there0 -
Good morning:D
mrs mix, glad it will be easier to see your Dad. You don't sound as if you're making much rest time for yourself. I know it can help to keep busy, but not toooo busy, please:D
PippaD, everything crossed! Hope it's a speedy delivery;)
AB thinking of you today, good luck, you'll be fine! ( as will you be PP!) Promise. We all feel just the same, it's completely normal.
Well today I have to try to get a new Fridgefreezer as mine is rapidly dying
It would be while I have it packed to the utmost with food:rolleyes: If the worst happens I'll be cooking for England to try and save as much meat as possible, while the new one *cools down* to temperature:rotfl:
Much cooler this morning, so I think I may get in an hours gardening before I start other chores. It's been so hot the last few days I've struggled a bit. I've had the same problem as you dogrose. Cut long grass, and now half of it has popped up again, so it needs another trim:rotfl:
Best get off,
hugs for those that want them, and special thoughts for all the children taking the dreaded SATs. Soon be over:D

Morning all,
Didn't sleep well so got up at 5am and took my coffee into the garage and put the undercoat on the 2 single beds, I have to put all of the furniture back into the makeover bedroom and blitz the one I'll empty. DH is doing a Powerflush today so will have to struggle on my own, if the air seems a bit blue here in S/set you'll know where it's coming from. All because my Mum and OH are coming for the weekend.
Now, what to cook for them !! Mum won't eat fish, salad, beef or lamb her OH won't eat chicken or veg. reminds me of Jack Spratt. any suggestions ?
Have read yesterday's thread and would like to send special (((((((hugs)))))) Arkonite, PenPin, AnnieB, AnnieS, Mrs. Mix, Smokey and good luck to Pippard.
Right, off to do my impression of Pickfords0 -
morning all.....
arghhh took a swig of :coffee: tea and the milk is off...yuk
haven't posted for a little while as been a bit fraut here....my BIL has just been told his job is not safe after Northern Foods announced its closing down, my Sister and family were supposed to be moving house Friday, not sure if they can go ahead or not....its such a worry for them..
then all the things Mum was going through with her friend, think that is sorted now, she's waiting on solicitors letters etc etc...
Shez - My DD(17) is off to doctors today with something similar, she got sunburn over the weekend but now has a rash in place of it that seems to flare up when she gets hot. Looks very red and angryand itchy for her.
Aussielass - Made impossible pie last night for tea, it went down a treat. OH has a piece in his lunchbox today along with Chocolate Mayonaisse Cake and homemade bread for his sandwiches...I think he may be spoilt a bit...:rotfl:
I have to wait in today again for a parcel thats on Special Delivery, its supposed to be here before 1am but i very much doubt it as normal post doesnt arrive till after lunch..I'll keep my fingers crossed as i do have to venture into town sometime this morning.
right off to get a fresh cup of tea
Hugs :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all in need....
Good luck to all with exams and sats....PinkPunkBird

Morning Everyone
A brigher DG today, still croaking but had a better night and not coughing as much, thinking its considering turning into a head cold now:rolleyes: . Oh joy!
We have switched Sky off as we are not here much at the moment, so only have Freeview, so been playing on the Wii with DH after the news. Now we are not working our days have moved round with us not going to bed until midnight-1 am and waking up around 8 am, never thought I would get my internal clock moved but managed it. Isn't it strange that some games I am always the winner, and others it is always him.
Decided yesterday to do some sorting out, some boxes of bits from when I finished work were still in the garage, so got rid of the rubbish and just need to find a home for everything now, job for today! Also need to cook some of the meat in my chiller drawer, too much for us to eat before it goes off, and as it came out of the freezer for DS at the weekend, will cook it so I can re-freeze it, now what to do with chicken breast, any ideas not to hot or savoury? (I know we are boring old so and sos). I can manage the sweet and sour sauce, we have at the Chinese in Spain, but don't know where to start to make the same, I don't like onions and only a small smattering of garlic. If all else fails it will be just roast them and then decide when I get them out again.
Fingers crossed for an easy time PippaD. (((Hugs)) for today AB. Special ((((Hugs)))) to Smoky & Pen-Pin. How are you today Jayward? ((((Hugs)))) to anyone who'd like one (or I've missed).
Take care all - DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all
Still on holiday and it is still sunny here in Dorset :j Getting up is getting to be a real struggle (as you can tell by the time), will have to get our act together next week
Had a lovely day yesterday, went into Swanage to the market and bought a plastic tablecloth, bright yellow with sunflowers
Think we will go to a local Chinese buffet later, so probably a cooked chicken and pasta or salad for lunch. Obviously it is the holiday bacon sandwich for breakfast - Martyn, can you smell it cooking :rotfl:
Haven't caught up on yesterday's thread, but looks like lots of ((( hugs ))) needed by Arkonite and Pen Pin. Also good luck Pippad, maybe today is the day, let us know as soon as you can xxYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
