    morning all,

Another nice day here, they said we might get rain later, but we will see,

DD is off to school and is upstairs straighting her hair  , I am at w**k today, and expecting a busy day, I don't like going at the moment but needs must.

Just looking at the news at those poor people in china, little tiny children are burried under rubble, they must be so scared, poor things. Lets hope they save as any as possible.

I took some cubed beef out of the freezer last night, ( left over from a roast ) and have just covered it in a curry sauce, so its that for tea with rice,

Hugs to smoky, hope you and the children are ok xx

Pen pin, Mrx Mix, candygirl, anniestar, anniebooklover, Hugs to you all xx

Celyn, you work far too hard, did you leave work at 11 last night, and then make muffins, only to be back at work for 8 this morning

Have a good day all xx

Good luck PippaD!!!!!!!! How exciting!!!! Make sure you have given instructions to someone to post an update the SECOND there is any news as we will be eagerly checking..... :):)

Special hugs ((((penpin))))) - it is scary, but you will be back here before you know it. Definitely do as someone (sorry, forgot who :( ) said & tell nurse/surgeon/anaesthetist. They are brill. When I had to have a hysterectomy 6 years ago (at the age of 32) the nurse asked if I wanted her to ring my mum & let her know I was off to theatre :) Sounds daft, but it did help. They do understand that we are all scared little kids deep down. Also ((((((AB))))))) for you at hospital today too. You'd better be back or there'll be an OS search party coming to hunt you down.....:)

Also (((())))) for everyone else who needs them.

N9eav, hope you're feeling a bit less ticked off today.
TNG - have you left me?!?? :(

Was catching up on the end of yesterday's thread, having a giggle at the pics but can't remember who said what - was very entertaining reading though.

Anyway, in the office & then over to Hastings later today. The past 6 months in placement have hurtled past, and now the last 10 days seem to be dragging. I have loved it there, but am ready for a break, and seem to have lost a bit of motivation now...

Have a good day everyone - am sure there was more I was going to say. No idea what though.....

Good morning everyone! Up early as DS has been offered a paper round, so I had to go and negotiate terms with the newsagent (who's also a good friend of mine). So while I was there, we've arranged a supper at hers and a barbeque at ours :j  I need to check that the others who I'm inviting are free on that day ;)

DD has her RE GCSE today. They're doing it in Y10 to leave space in Y11 for Citizenship classes  I've bought her a packet of Fruit Gums to suck on as that was what I had when I did O-levels all those years ago :D I'm abaout to take her a cup of tea, then make a cooked breakfast.

Bread's out of the BM, washing on the line, packed lunches to make.

Sadly, one of the chicks died last night. We have 3 chirpy ones, and will take pics later.

Off to the Scout Division AGM tonight (I'm the treasurer) with DD and 4 of her Explorer friends. It's in a pub, so we'll have a bar meal there. DD wants chips  DS will have a cooked meal at school then make himself a toastie for his tea before Scouts.

    Cycling to w*** again, today.

    Hugs to Arkonite-Babe and Smoky

    Pippa D :j :j :j :j :j :j

Have a great day, Penny. x

    Morning all.

    PENPIN - thinking of you.

ARKONITE - good luck to you today.

PIPPA.D - it must be today! All the best - we'll all be deep-breathing with you!

    SMOKY - (((hugs))) to you.

    CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:

REDRUBY - hope you have a frog-less day today!

Well, I'm going to have a shower in a minute but DH has just left and I'm waiting in case he comes back for something he has forgotten!

The weather is bright with a cool breeze - great for drying the washing. Rain is forecast later but I hope not until I've collected DGS from school.

I have loads to do today as usual and not enough hours in the day! I can hardly believe how time has flown by - Christmas seems like it was a couple of weeks ago and now we're halfway through May; the days seem to whizz by.

Well, I think it's safe for me to go and have my shower.

    See you all later.

Just edited to wish good luck to all those taking exams today!

    :hello:Good Morning!

Just about to walk puppy but it is a tad chilly this morning so must find my cardi!

I wanted to send ((((hugs)))) to Arkonite Babe & Penny Pincher. I felt just the same when I went in for a hysterectomy, the staff do understand our fears and I met with nothing but kindness and understanding when I was in hospital.

Pippad - Hope today is the day! Good luck!
Jayward - Hope you are feeling a bit better today (((hugs)))
Smoky - Big (((hugs))) to you and the children
    Churchmouse - Great news!
Hester - I love reading your blog but wish you would do a recipe section as your menu plans on a budget always sound yummy especially the chicken, ham and mushroom pie, my dh would love that.
Pen pen - Sorry to hear about the chick, looking forward to seeing pics of the others
Twink - Frost! makes you think of that old style saying "cast not a clout til May is out";)
Kyle - hope ds2 is coping today, my son has similar problems and has always needed to carry his inhaler everywhere with him this time of year.

Better get going before the compost man turns up!

((((hugs)))) to all that could use one

It's peeing down here in Kent, good for the flowers but bad for my hair!!!

Arkonite and PP good luck at the hospital. I had my first general anaesthetic for a small gynae op in December and was absolutely petrified. It wasn't half as bad as I expected, in fact it was better. You will be fine, deep breaths, talking of which looking forward to hearing that Pippad has another little 'un here soon. My DIL has to see the consultant today re her pregnancy, hope it goes OK otherwise I might be a nanny again sooner rather than later, and not looking forward to not being able to have a cuddle cos baby will be in special care for a while.

Work today, boss is away so a nice calm morning at least, probably get busy this afternoon. If it wasn't for the customers it would be a lovely job!!! (my customers are young and staying at Her Majesty's pleasure!!)

Have a good day everyone - byeeeeee

CHRISCA - good luck to your DIL!

KYLE - (((hugs))) to your LO - hope today is better for him.

HESTER - yes, a selection of your recipes would go down really well - something will just have to replace 'What Katy Did Next' from June! You could have a blog called 'What Hester Did After Katy Left'! I expect the first post would simply say 'Having a rest'!

PENPEN - so sorry about the chick.

    JAYWARD - (((hugs))) to you.

Well, I've had my shower so I'd better get on with some lovely chores!

    See you later.
