OS Daily Wednesday 14th May

off to get the sticky
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 13th May, 2008. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before y ou go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all
hugs to AB & especially big hugs to PP, I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.
BIL seems to be feeling more positive now, He's spoken to the mortgage company & I think he's realised that he'll get nothing from the divorce & that he has to start from scratch, hopefully while he's staying with us he'll be able to save up a deposit for a rented flat. He's just paying for his food while he's here so he can start saving.
DD is aware that house prices may fall, but she is so desperate to get a garden for the kids & also she needs to buy while the scheme is open as the offer won't last for long.
Off to work soon as Katy gets her a**e in gear, woo hoo, just think I'll be able to get to work on time when she's left.
Washing's on the line & WM on with 2nd load DW is on, pack up's done with home made bread & home grown lettuce.
Hugs Hester

Morning Hester and tattycath and all those still in the land of nod :D

(((HUGS))) to all those who want/need them.

I'm running late and DD1's still snoring. Lunchboxes are done and I'm washed but noone's dressed yet. I feel like I haven't been to sleep yet. It still looks really sunny even though they've forecast floods of rain.

Dinner tonight will be whatever I pull out ... my OS'ness has temporarily left me in the house move.

Hope everyone has a great day,

    Luv xx

    Good Morning All

Lovely start to the day weather wise here too, think rain is forcast for the next couple of days so will make the most today.

Have Tai Chi this morning then need to go to Makro as didnt make it yesterday, my Dad treated us to fish and chips which we ate down our local overlooking the marina - very nice.

Some washing to be done as per normal and some ironing but not too much.

Not sure whats for dinner, thinking maybe Lasagne.

    Have a lovely day.

Good morning Hester, tattycath, jet77 and everyone that follows/crosses :)

Big hugs for those that need them, pen-pin, sorry you were feeling low yesterday.

Just got in to work, seems a bit wierd as I only left 8 hours ago, but needs must. I need to get some things started before the exams start this morning, then I've got to work out where I'm going as it isn't my college I'm invigilating in this morning.

Made carrot cake muffins last night - although I think I'm baking at a rate faster than we're eating, so I might have to take a few into work. :)
Not much planned for today - OH has a conference call this evening, so it'll be another late one *yawns* Looks like pasta for tea then :rotfl:

Right - coffee is calling! have a good day all, cel x

    good morning everyone.

yesterday cut back garden grass but it was so long and wet I missed lots of bits which I can see this morning have popped back up. so will give it another run over this afternoon. this morning I have a scale and polish at the dentist to look forward to :( might have a wander round the shops afterwards. not to buy ..just to wander ;)
last night we had chicken curry using the Pataks paste that was on special offer at Asda and it was very nice. today will be meatballs or sausage casserole..not sure which yet.

hugs to all who need one and reading yesterday's thread I think first in the queue is Pen-pin and AB. I'm not surprised you feel scared...who wouldn't. we'll all be thinking of you.

Morning all - been up for the last four hours with contractions - managed to watch some recorded TV and I have nearly read a book! Will probably be off to the hospital soon as they are getting closer, longer and more painful!

DD decided to stay at my Mums last night, so I haven't got to worry about DH taking her over whilst I stay and labour here alone! Mind you seeing as he is still in bed I might not of noticed anyway!

Right I am off to find something to eat and to put my bags in the car!

    Hugs to everyone!

    Morning all

Not caught up with the thread yet, yesterday was a bit manic. HUGS to PENPIN and AB today at the hospital.

Hugs to eveyone else who needs one especially those with poorly relatives.

    Hugs Smokey.

Had a reasonable sleep, OH on nights. DS came into our room having had a nightmare. He is doing sats at the moment, wonder if it is to do with that, it's very sad if it is as he's only coming up 7. We've always been very careful not to push him with school work. Will have a chat to him when he gets up. He's snoring in our bed at the moment.

HESTER good news about your DD's house. Maybe your BIL can stay with you and pay rent went Katy has gone?

Today I need to nip down to the allotment and water everything. Then it's a quick tidy around and studying. Work at 1pm. Am cooking a turkey crown in the oven (reduced in Asda) to use as cold meat for DS and OH.

Pippad crossed with you, good luck for today, how exciting!

    Have a good day all.

    Jan :A xxxx
