Hi all - Beth - you were up early painting! You must be whacked out now what with the room makeovers as well!
Donny-Gal - hope your cough stokps soon.
Well, I have got the ironing done and a couple of letters typed and I am now sorting out all my wool again; thing is, I dig bits out and then don't tidy the boxes up afterwards because I'm too impatient to use what I looked for - if that makes sense! I also have some mending to do but that's SO boring. I have to sew up the hem on my gym trousers, mend the eco-friendly bag that I only bought two weeks ago - I only paid £1 for it and can't be bothered to take it back for a refund or replacement but it is a good one - when it hasn't got a hole in the bottom! I also have to sew some more ties on my 'best' apron and there was something else but I can't remember what it was. It will all take about 15 minutes but I keep putting it off.
DH popped back to return my car - he's having the brake caliper replaced on his tomorrow so he's using mine when he can but I need it for the school run to pick up DGS this afternoon. Tomorrow I have to get up early to follow him down to the mechanic's and then he'll keep my car for the rest of the day.
R.MAC - sorry to hear about your friend's marriage breaking up. That's so sudden after just three months.
Anyway, I wonder how Pippa.D is? I hate the thought of anyone being in labour but - it's the only way out of advanced pregnancy, isn't it? Hopefully, she's had the speedy delivery that Churchmouse wished for and is now recovering in that warm maternal glow!
Anyway, off now to think about lunch.
See you all later.

Well decision made, that was good advice Mrs_M, I kicked out 4 just to the lack of manners, but got another three in! Re-read them all and decided on two so offered it to one of them, if they don't come back to me then well offer to the others. Food Processor and Wood also offered up there but less replies for those. Wonder how many I will get when I put on the Kenwood Chef with K beater, Whisk, and Dough Hook, DH is due to collect the newer one from my SIL on the way back from getting the car MOT'd. Oh Joy!
Continuing on from the sorting yesterday, I am now trying to get all the pens, pencils, rubbers, etc., etc., all together, I don't think I will have a need to buy much for a very long time now I can find it! I will go through and sharpen all the pencils and try out all the biros to see what work and what do not. Just hope that it will fit in a smaller place when I have done!
The best I can hope for PippaD is am easy a birth as I had with DS, didn't even make it out of the labour ward.
I remember what I was going to ask - H-H what is the cut and come again lettuce you mentioned before? Could be handy for me. Also how long does it take lettuce to grow, wondering if I can have some in a pot in Spain (I will be there about 8 weeks so will I get the lettuce before I have to come back?). If I got some seedlings, would they live if wrapped and watered well for 3 days in the boot while travelling there? and would they be ready before the 8 weeks?
((Hugs)) catowen - do you know what you have done to your leg?
Coffee finished - back to it

Afternoon all
Hugs to those in need - not read the thread for days so not sure who's doing what/where/when.
Got youngest off school today with upset tum, she's been burning up all night but looks a bit brighter now......she's just asked for a marmite sarnie so must be feeling better.
Yeast free diet is going really well can't believe how much better I feel. Made my own soda bread this morning with HM yoghurt and just had a warm slice for lunch - Yummmy!!!!! The yeast free advice I found online told me to try and steer clear of red meat as it sometimes has traces of antibiotics in which won't help, bearing that in mind I made a cottage pie last night with a tiny bit of mince in and padded it out with lots of beans and veggies, half an hour after eating it I was all bloated and sore.......so red meat is definately out!
Still plodding on with my wiifit - lost 8 lbs now and everything keeps falling down! :j
Finally started some scrapbooking yesterday (piccies on my facebook for those of you on there), really enjoyed myself and will be getting creative again tomorrow - down side is that I've spent half the morning on ebay looking at bits and bobs.....might have purchased a few too
Fish, rice and veg for tea tonight - DH can have some left over quiche as he's allergic to fish.
Hope you all have a great afternoon."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hello all !
Bit chillier today and the suns not shining despite frantic efforts.........!
Woke up with stinking headache............combination of cheese and chocolate last night I think, plus getting all stressed out over ex foster girls house fire.
She seemed very chirpy last night, is a good 'coper' -better than me- so I'm not so worried about her now. At least the extension of the house has electric now and its safe so she'll be able to use a microwave and kettle.
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o ))))))))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Afternoon all,
Hugs to AB, PenPin and Anniestar, hope that you are all feeling better soon...someone else said that you should let us take some of the load PP...100% agree.
Another nice day here OH is having to mow lawns again and will have to cut it as low as possible next week before we go as it is a bit much for DD4 and not sure how much time DS3 will have so we may come back to a jungle! Going to cook on bbq again to-night...chicken breasts and baked spuds with salad...very easy on kitchen.
Need to collect some stuff I had to have altered later on...€50 for five pieces but I want them done well and am a bit slap dash at things sometimes...need to have two pairs of jeans taken up for OH as well....the joys of being short!
Donny-gal...I think that you should get some lettuce in 8 weeks in Spain...things grow very quickly in the heat...might be worth taking few seedlings with you wrapped in damp newspaper, put in plastic bag which will retain the moisture but sow some there too...something like mixed leaves is probably fastest, I do oriental ones (can't remember seed merchant) and they are lovely.
Hugs to Smoky and all who are in need or want

DG - I just wish you were in my freecycle area - I've been desperate for a kenwood chef ever since my sister 'inherited' my grannies 1970 model!!!
Just had avocado on toast for lunch and put on yet more washing. Listening to radio 2 and been inspired to put out some food for the birds. We don't have a garden, but do have a lovely balcony, so will see if anything pops in and visits us.
hope veryone is feeling a bit more cheerful - perhaps the sun going back indoors is making us all feel less cheery!!!r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

You could have it willingly, but far too heavy to post.
