You can also buy extended life batteries on eBay. 99p for the battery, 9.49 for the P&P. While probably not for everyone, it's worth considering. I had a similar issue with my Palm Tungsten C. Low battery after 2 years. Picked up a new one, and replaced it myself - total cost approx £10.
