Yesterday was always going to be an expensive day, needed to buy a camping stove and the necessary accessories for out little hut at T in the Park.

But...I shopped around, found Millets was cheapest, but got a 9pc cutlery set in poundland along with some metal plates, a metal insulated cup, 2 inflatable pillows, which all would have been at least 3 times the price in Millets, some even dearer.

We're now working out what food to take to TitP which will save a packet on buying food from the onsite vans.:T

So we're still having a BIG treat, but trying to save money where it won't matter.;)

DD needed new trainers too, £28 unavoidable, she needs to have Clarks

Popped into Sainsbury's and ONLY bought the milk bread and bananas I went in for, That's a real achievement for me, they always seem to have something on special offer that isn't an essential.

    Today I

did all my daily click sites
    wrote another review for dooyoo

I can see dooyoo getting really addictive already had my reviews rated (I'd posted one in the wrong place, but got that sorted), I'm going to set about reviewing everything I own that I can review, even if they don't pay out cash it ought to be good for Xmas presents

Not sure if anyone can just join in here, but here goes!

Hand washed the car rather than taking to the jetwash (approx £5 saved)
    Did piggy clicks/racecaller
    Did all available iPoints iPolls
Packaged up two mobiles to send off to a company who are hopefully going to give me some tesco points for each one.
Tidied up all the paperwork on the desk in the computer room.
Went to the outlet shopping place for some bits and pieces for a friends birthday present (myself and another friend are putting together a "lucky dip" style box of treats for her between us.) ONLY bought stuff for the present, didn;t even get a coffee while I was there! :j
Did meal plans for the rest of the week
Started my "money management journal" - this will detail stuff like the sending the mobiles off (so I can keep track of anything pending) and also keep a record of overpayments on the mortgage as we make them.

Hope to keep up posting on here as I know it will provide motivation for me. At the moment we have 17 and a half years outstanding on the mortgage - I want to reduce that to ten as quickly as possible......ambitious, but doable I think......

Well, I've spent some money but am happy with what I've bought - an all seasons duck feather quilt (2 quilts combined) + 4 duck filled pillows - all for £28!!!!! Debenhams website has a pre-sale - not a lot on there but got 1/2 price quilt, 1/2 price pillows, managed to find codes for free del & 20% off (thanks to MSE & spendlessonline :T ), plus 4% cash back (just hope using the codes doesn't invalidate, but only just over £1 anyway so can live with it).

Apart from that I bought stuff for lunches to take to work (including one for tomorrow when it will be going in my suitcase as am flying for work!).

Have also being playing around on search engines & found www.cashbackguide.org - compares all cashback sites. This has gone in my favourites.

    Entered a load of comps.

Em, boring even myself now so will shut up :o

Eating copious quantities of home grown radishes, more to come but thankfully won't be ready for a week or so! (I need a break from eating them). Various other veggies and fruit coming along nicely so looking forward to buying less fresh produce over the coming weeks. Lettuce and strawberries should be next.

Oh dear, have let things slide a bit over the last few days... Back on the straight and narrow from today!

Today I will bank some cheques I was paid at the weekend.
Today I will go back on Atkins and not eat any carbs, thus raising my levels of self control when DH phones from the station and suggests a Chinese!

I haven't really been doing much to ehlp with MFW on a day to day basis recently but am going to start bringing my lunch into work again (I've slipped a bit on this the past few days)

I should have had a NSD yesterday but couldn't resist fish & chips on the way home! I must try harder. (More posting on here will help!) I did save £5 by washing my car myself.

Today I have brought lunch to work, will return the top I ordered but don't like (free postage:)) and complain about the dry cleaners shrinking my suit:eek: . Any suggestions on what I should ask for compensation-wise?
