I now owe just under £2000 on a credit card, personal loan adn over draft. I hope to have it paid off by 1st August 2008 as my baby is due on 16th July and i'm desperate to be debt free as close to that date as possible.
My debts 4 years ago were in the region of 12k!!!! It horrifies me to say that, what a number!!! But it's good to have a reminder of how far i've come...rather than how far i've got to go...
    Good luck everyone

Debts approx £13k not including £30k loan tied in with mortgage. DFD depends whether I go on DMP or not, not decided whether to tackle on my own or get help from CCCS to get debts paid off quicker, tough decision

Hi, we have £31k worth of debt & our DFD is December 2011. Our aim was always to be DF by my 40th birthday(February 2013) & we are on course to get there more than a year sooner. Saying that things will crop up between now & then so will definately be pleased to be DF by my 40th,hopefully sooner!

    Hey,

We have around £20k of debt, one of these is car repayments and another is a loan both due to finish 2012 and i cant see us being able to pay these off any sooner.

But the cc's are doing ok, one (2.5k) will be cleared this year, the other (4k) will be going as soon as possible, im currently saving to get a lump sum off that one at christmas.

Hi we have about £50,000 of debts and was with DMP with payplan for 2 years but would have taken forever, we went for an IVA which started September 2007 so will be debt free in August 2012, all being well. First year is very hard but are slowly getting used to it, and cannot wait to be debt free.
    thanks
