I am looking for some inspiration have been trundling round this site for a while Im on a DMP and my debt is bad i was just wondering and enquiring about how much debt people have and how long they expect it will take them to pay it off.If you dont want to state debts thats fine but just how long do you think you will be paying your debts off for.
Thanks Lisa
I might aswell go first
I have £70 k debt not including mortgage
And my DMP says 10 years to pay it off but we are aiming for 4 - 5 years.
Thanks Lisa

my debt is quite small but so is my income and i am a single parent so it feels big to me.
my debt is just under £1,200 i am paying back £15 a week. and it does not occur interest. i was paying more but cut it back a bit to open a regular saver as that will get interest which i can use to pay off my debt to. i am not to stressed about it but it bugs me so i want it paid and put in the past. i was a debt of £23,000 !!!! AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH from department of work!!!! wow phoned them up today to see how much i owe and my debt is now only £947.80!!!! yeah:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

We have 40472.58 (as a rough guess!) of debt and we expect it cleared by Dec 2011.
On top of that we also have a mortgage with 128,000 outstanding and has 22 years left to run.
Hopefully once the debts are paid off we can start overpaying on the mortgage - but that seems a long way off yet! x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Hi Lisa
You ready for this, we owe £95,000 in unsecured debts, excluding mortgage.
We expect it to be cleared in 5 years, although we're on a DMP, we're in the process of an IVA.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
Just under £9,000 now. Would have been paid of this year but gonna be renting my own place which is gonna set it back. At the minimum rate it will be another 2 years. But I hope to have it gone by this time next year! :doh:0

I owe £27k+ and plan on having it cleared in about two years. Like SS my DFD has just taken a bit of a hit because I have decided to live solo (my sanity being more important (just) than my DFD). It would have been cleared October 2009 but now is more like April-June 2010£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
