Thats a lot better than the nothing a lot of other places send you :)

Hmmm, I wonder how long the v220 offer will be on, I'm still waiting for Pac codes.

I checked on the o2 website, and they say you can do your number port after you buy a phone, but they don't say how long afterwards, so I don't want to mess it up :/

    Cheers, Des.

mobileshop charged me £10 to do the port, and whilst the phone and sim came - it initially on a temp number , swapping in a weeks time to old number

Was tempted to wait and swap after, but I know that 02 use different "billing agents" so wondered if the same terms on porting applied to dealer purchases rather than direct deals

( also having got a pac code from BT was very keen to use it!)
In fairness on this number BT have been fine until now ( never needed to speak to them) BUT with so many mistakes made on a contract for my son - I want to avoid them

Re mobileshop and porting numbers. If I remember correctly there is doubt whether they will honour cash back if you don't port your number through them as the cashback works on telephone numbers.

I didn't bother porting my number as with 200 free texts I had enough to text my new number to everyone.

My cashback is in two installments at months 6 & 12 and I had vouchers to submit. The V220 offer has been going since April. Other phones do pop up like the SE T30 but are often shorter lived offers.

Hmmmmmmm, so it is probably worth paying them the £10 to port the number to o2 if there is a risk of them not paying out on the cashback :/

I'm not fussed on which model of phone it is, but the higher the resale value the better :)

    Thanks for sharing your experience.

Also remember porting your number if it's a contract phone costs you another month line rental. If you are on contract, give notice and ask to change sim to PAYG. Then there is no extra month payment for porting your number.

I'm not sure porting number costs another month's rental fee. If you give notice (and receive PAC code) at 11 months, then should be able to do switch at 12 months. PAC code lasts a month I believe
    Waddle you do eh?
