OK basic phone nokia 3120 ( edit or moto V220 - thanks simply) BUT

£30pm on 02 ( good contract , as I believe it includes 08 numbers!)
200mins peak xnet plus 100 text
( double in first 3m)
12 month contract

cashback (hopefully) by redemption

I used quidco for £25

charged me £10 to port over current BT mobile number

Can't vouch for them paying the cashback - but they seem to have been around a while

if you don't use a cashback site - there is a referral link at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=91084
(link shown is to referral board , not a direct referral link - as per site rules)

or direct

  • I think quidco is far better in terms of cashbacks than rpoints.

Rpoints is giving £12.50 as cashback

yes they seem to have put that one back on also - although earlier toady seemed to have moved it to 9m free, and then back to 12m!

My wife currently uses a v200 and likes it and yes that comes with a camera as well - although personally I prefer to stick to a nokia (actually happy with my older 6100) especially if wanting to upload stuff onto it , although perhaps might of been a good idea to have gone for the Moto in case she breaks hers

Just ordered a V220 for my wife from them. Signed up to Quidco first though! I hope they are OK at paying the cashback, will let people know when the time comes. I'm gonna stick to my good old PAYG though as it takes me 12 months to get through £10 worth of credit!

I took the mobileshop deal out in May with the Moto v220. I then referred my OH who had the Sony Eric T630 on the same deal (now finished) and got £20. They were a bit slow paying the £20 but one phonecall and cheque 2 days later. They also told me my OH was due £20 for a referral he made to a friend.

I have done cashback before - last year with Chatterbox and they paid up no problem.

IMO if all goes to plan this will be the 3rd year in a row that we have had free phones, free xnet mins/text for £0 monthly rental.

I also PM :money: to see if he could get an arrangement with Mobileshop so that this site gets the referral fee. He has put a man on the case so keep an eye out for it.

I also have applied for an affiliate link ( for my other marketing activities) most regulars will already have/ use a cashback account anyway, although if included in a email MSE links might get some hits , although these deals are often short lived, and recommending a line rental redemption could end up with egg on one's face

I also had the Sony Erricson T630 deal 02 mobileshop.

100 free texts, but what is great about them on 02 is that you can exhange 4 texts for a multi-media message, so if you get the Moto 220 you can enjoy sending pictures for free.

    Quote from 02 website

Use your inclusive message allowance to
send text, picture and video messages.
l Each text sent in the UK to UK mobiles
uses 1 message from your allowance
l Each picture or video message sent in the
UK to UK mobiles uses 4 messages
l Each text sent from abroad uses 4 messages

Also you get 100k of GPRS free, now that is nothing really but it did not mention that when I signed up.

Thanks for the info EdCov. My wife will be delighted with that, especially during the first 3 months where she gets double text allowance! There will be photos of my daughter winging their way across the airways all over Britain!
  • Hi,

I have just looked at this deal, but where does it say, when and how the cashback will be given. It only states that the line rental is free but no futher details.

I would like to print these details up before I sign up.

    Thanks
