They are part of the same group as columbus direct. Policies are similar but TIW does NOT include scheduled airline failure cover where as columbus does. Price wise, for us (couple) Columbus is ~51 with cash back, TIW is 45. Declaring minor condition (HRT) gives prices of 54 and 52.

But they may not be scheduled airline to Zante! It's no good getting scheduled airline failure to find out later that you are traveling on a charter!

  • All very complicated.

    Instead, where can I get:

Medical only. Worldwide. Comprehensive including throwing self off buildings if I flipping well want to, winter sports, surfing, hiking and generally no acts of god clauses.

Alternatively, what's the worst that can happen regards medical situations?
    -thanks

Also, the nationwide debit card (the one that's good for travel rates) - how do we protect that from being eaten in an atm or muggings?
Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker

  • My wife is going abroad and will not return for 44 days. The worldwide annual travel policies I have seen specify a maximum trip length of 42 days.

Does anyone know how or with which insurer I can get her entire trip covered?

To save me trudging through pages here, please can anyone tell me if they've had any experience of flexicover direct?

    Many Thanks

I am looking to buy a single trip policy to USA on a scheduled flight. I have pre existing asthma and demylenation. These do not seem to add onto the premium but would like a good medical cover policy, just in case. Any ideas please?

ECCLESTO - Please look at Post Office (Fortis Insurance) -

    http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/content1?catId=63300708&mediaId=19300208

No the cheapest but Excelent value for money - very lenient with PEMC's and their coverage is plenty for USA.

Stay away from any Axa policy (after claims service is poo! or White Horse - went bust in the UK then moved and started up again in Ireland and therefore out of the reach of the FSA = you have no comeback if you should wish to complain) .
