  • The Zdnet test is fine. I suggest you connect to the net before you test. lmao

Why dont you like Telewest? I can tell you from loads of experience with ADSL and Cable your on the best package available in my opinion.

I love those 3 words ...... "in my opinion" ;)

But as someone that's still on dial-up, what would you recommend for me?

Ok, I'll throw that question open to the forum :D
  • Get with broadband? lol.

:D ....... I'll have to soon. My other half wants to use his laptop too ;) And he knows it's available in this 2 horse village :o

Time I started back on Martin's tips, or took a walk across the forum to Internet, or ISP's, or whatever it's called lol.
  • If your pulling results you don't expect its more than likely its pulling the downloaded information from your browsers cache

Yep, and good on you...Zdnet worked fine for me too. It's a very reputable company. You don't always have to take everyone's posts onboard as Martin suggests... some of them don't have a clue about what they're talking about

Delluver, I must ask you to stop sniping at other members, Thankyou.

As anyone can make a mistake, we are all human afterall,
    now back to the subject.

  • I only ask the same - that's reasonable isn't it? I'll always stick up for myself, no matter what.

  • As a new user of MSE I don't think you quite understand how this Techie Board works. People ask a question and some very knowledgable people answer and Rex Mundi is one of these knowledgable people.

People go out of there way to be helpful and don't expect to get told that their post is rubbish because you disagree, just as I didn't expect to be told that all local pc shops suck. Post was reported and now removed.

Yet another thread going off topic because of your posts.

As Martin also says, please be nice to other money savers.
  • I know how it works alright... and ganging up 3 - 1 isn't how it works. I am also very knowledgable. No one said anyone's post was rubbish... it wasn't me who began all this... No one said about anything sucking either. You could have just PM'd me in the begining all of you if you have a problem, and I would quite happily have edited... I was following all your your examples seeing as you're not newbies... you didn't stop posting away from original threads.

    Martin does say that... abide.

It is, because I do have a 4 meg line :)

So why dont you try the test at ADSLguide. If the zdnet test is accurate. You should get the same results.

I'm lost for words with this post. From what I've seen of your posts so far. You have a very good knack of upsetting a lot of people. Your thread on wireless networking was voted not useful by EVERYONE that voted. This would indicate that quite a few people feel that you don't know what you are talking about. For you to accuse others of this I find unbelievable! I'm getting the impression that you are only here to troll.
