Morning all:hello:
Had to literally prise myself out of bed to cut the jungle this morning.I haven't cut it for 2 weeks and it was sooo long, and I nearly ran over a frog family:eek:   , felt guilty but then saw them hopping back off into the nettles at the bottom;)
I know everyone wants gardens ,but i'd happily give half of mine away, as it's too big for me to handle tbh:(
Have literally everything to do today in the house, but doubt i'll do much as i'm exhausted with work. It's shockingly amazing how different a school can be, without a strong HT and DHT.They have left and have been replaced by flumps who think the kids should rule the school   and they do!!!
Anyway must get a move on , need a massive food shop and the WM needs to go on, and i'm off to see Dad to bolster his spirits. He is still in denial and saying the bone pain isn't from the cancer, but my Mum says it's the only way he can cope:(Thanks for all those who have sent me hugs for him, it really does help:D :A
Anyway must dash, hope all the poorlies inc ESSEX BOY, PEN PIN etc feel a bit better today, Huggles for all those who are simply p'd off today, and cyas all later xxx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

MORE PICS
In the first three, they're 20 mins old. The rest were taken today - a day and a half old. Pic 109 are my other two girls, Molly and Lily.
Bubble (rabbit) won't sit still long enough for me to take a pic, and Beans is refusing to come out of his house"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

mumzyof2  good to see you back! As regards your savings, I haven't seen the thread you mention on the other board, but can well believe it! Isn't it just great how certain people on the forums are soooooo perfect they always take the moral high ground, huh  I absolutely agree that benefits are intended for just covering essential living expenses, but a certain amount of savings is part of your essential expenses... otherwise what the hell are you meant to do when "something comes up" (broken freezer, broken washing machine etc) The benefits system recognises this fact by allowing you to have a certain amount of savings before your entitlement gets affected. Sorry, I'm rambling nowNo suggestions personally as to how to do it, but am sure there are plenty of OSers who can help...
mioliere - if you find a way to conjure up that fantasy, can you let me know so I can join you please
catowen - not ignoring you, honestI just hardly ever have time to mention people by name when I post on weekdays. Congrats on the extra work!
Right, well this is the first Saturday in 3 weeks that I've been up before noonso best make the most of it! I need to take the recycling out and go to the supermarket, I've made a list because it's only a few odds and ends that I need to complete certain recipes. Then I have to do some cooking for the freezer and for tomorrow's choir tea.
Off to a friend's clarinet concert this evening
Love Rzl xx

Thanks JannyAnnie - good luck to you with yours too as well as anyone else studying hard... It's not too bad, am on the sofa with the laptop, french doors open, neighbours omnibus on TV, and twiddling around putting in quotes & references...
Mumzyof2 - the trick (thought it's easier said than done) is not to worry about what other unknown people think of you.... I think it's a very sensible plan :T

Hello all !
Another lovely day but too hot for me to be out in it.............I'm best to wait till early evening.
Nothing planned for today as my friend is popping over for a bit.
Painted kitchen cupboards yesterday and the paint still feels a bit 'tacky'........don't know why that is. Maybe I'll see what its like by the end of today. Still got another cupboard to paint but not today............maybe Monday (I think ?)
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o )))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

It's been a busy day. BM on first thing, then 5 individual jellies put to set in the fridge. Two loads of washing washed and on line. Latest ironing brought up to date. Shopping list/meal plan and shopping expedition. Shopping came within £30 weekly budget for the 2nd time on the trot. Vacuumed the house. About to go and lie down for half an hour before starting a batch cook of my own "ready meal" spaghetti bolognaises. (Cook 4, eat 1, freeze 3.) Tomorrow if I'm still feeling energetic, it'll be a batch cook of my own fish pie. Im just wondering if any of you loverly people would help me with this question
I want to save and im on benifits, but how do i do it? even if its only a little amount each week for example £10, i still want to save and have something to aim for. I would put it in my e savers account to start with then when i have lots of savings i would transfer it to another account with high intrest.
I would ask the savings thread..BUT i saw a post about a lady/man in same situation as me and they went on about well if your on befits that money should only be used for living off etc and not saving. Pm me if anyone has any help so we dont go off topic
I lurk on this thread but don't often post but I felt I needed to this time - as another poster has pointed out some savings are needed just to cope with an unexpected crisis or even just bills that are not monthly. My son has had a similar response when he said he wanted to save out of his job seekers al.
He was unable to get a bank ac as hsbc closed his old one as he had no money. Our local credit union came up trumps and he now has a current ac to have his benefit paid into plus a savings ac which he can transfer money over to whenever he wishes online.
Everyone needs something to fall back on so you mustn't listen to those who think othwise.
Good luck:D0
