I'll have a go.....but I might make a mess of it
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 10th May. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.0 -
:hello: Good morning bethebee (and everyone else)
Beth if you go to the beginning of yesterdays post and hightlight the intro and then go back to edit todays first post and click on paste the intro should be up on the page!
Just seen it's been done, thank you Poggie!
Lovely day here so we will be out in the garden trying to make it pretty for next weeks barbecue when the family are down. Got some snapdragons at a cheap price to go in, they are such pretty flowers and remind me of my childhood, also some petunias and busy lizzies for the pots. Just hope the weather holds and there are no nasty surprises around the corner. Other than that we have the runner bean beds to prepare.
Bread maker needs so go into action soon as we are running out of bread and dh will sulk:rolleyes: Saturday is cooked breakfast day you see.
Yesterday was pretty awful at w**k, still a grotty atmosphere and I came home feeling ill (with cfs/ibs symptoms) and went straight to bed, this can't go on, starting to think this is only a very part time job and not worth the stress, I would miss the children though!
Off to visit my friend tonight as she is back in the london hospital and a bit cut off from all her friends. I need to sort out a treat for her.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you Catowen on the childminding front

Good Morning - Betheebee, Poggie123 and all to follow.
Looks like sunshine today - hope it will cheer me up - had some bad news yesterday.
Firstly - OH's scan - thanks for the well wishes by the way - the scan shows that he has another kidney stone but this time we know that he cant possibly pass it - so we are awaiting the hospital to call back - they were under it yesterday cause of the sub station explosion & loads of power cuts.
Then we found out late yesterday evening that we have had another theft from our van that works in London and the client has stopped it working at the moment, this looses us quite a lot of money - will have to speak to the client monday and see if they will change their mind but we are in court in Kent in the morning for OH's speeding case.
So I am pretty fed up this morning, trying to be less stressed when the kids get up as we all had a pretty horrible evening yesterday.
Sorry about this at the start of the thread but had to get it off my chest.
Anyway plans for today - more washing and ironing for me this morning, OH will be staining the decking in the garden, DS has footie training and DD will probably just chill.
No plans for dinner tonight but may be barbeque - certainly know if wont be takeaway - we are going to have to be strictly os for the forseeable future.

Morning everyone :hello:
Had a bit of a busy day yesterday. OH was supposed to be on a day off ..... bad move!! Every time he has a day off he's poorly! He's got a nasty eye infection so off to the docs yesterday morning to get some drops. They sent him to hopsital and apparently it's an ulcer on the front of his eyeball    so they've admitted him for 2 days to give him drops every half an hourpoor thing
So it's just me and DD's this weekend now. Will go and see him later when Nana comes to babysit, he's bored stiff bless him.
Hope everyone has a good dayI'll pop back in later to catch up :hello:

We are off to visit my family today as they cant make it to see me whilst Im in hospital, even though Im in there for a while
No washing to do as it was all done yesterday. House clean and tidy as cleaning day Friday. Toilet will be cleaned though:D
We Freecycled our old garden furniture yesterday and the new set was supposed to be here at 2.30pm......then we got a call to say they couldnt do it till monday and the people from freecycle had just literally picked it up. We have a BBQ on Sunday now with nowhere to sit:rolleyes: ...wasnt very happy and he has offered a discount, but I really needed it for the weekend.
Anyway, I had better go.
Hugs to all.

Morning everyone!
BETH - I hope your arms are not too bad today.
SMOKY - thinking of you and the LOs.
CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:
PIPPA - any more contractions?
MRS MIX - (((Hugs))) to your Dad
CATZNINE - believe me, no job is worth it if it makes you ill. My last job nearly did me in; I never thought job-related stress existed until the last two years of that one! Life's too short to go on like that. I do hope you can find something else.
(((Hugs))) to PENPIN and JACKIE0
TRU - hope the little piggies had a good night's sleep!
Well, I've been wasting time looking at knitting patterns online - as if I haven't got loads already! It would have been more constructive to have sat down and knitted!
Anyway, it looks like it will be another nice day today, fingers crossed. I must do some baking, some ironing and some tidyng up this morning. I also want to try and catch up with last night's Dirty Sexy Money - I fell asleep almost as soon as it started and DH said I missed a lot! Apart from that I hope to have a fairly relaxed weekend although every time I plan that it all goes pear-shaped!
Well, I think I'll go and put the kettle on for another cuppa.
See you all later.

for everyone.
Cat, I'm glad things are working out for you :T
The babies are doing well, their personalities are showing already - one is a loon, can't stay still unless he's eating and is very nosey, one is very gentle, he snuggles up to Reggie and cleans him, and Reggie reminds me of Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol.
I have a ton of ironing to do and the bathroom needs a good swishingApart from that, I'm just going to potter. I love that word - potter. Today I will be pottering about.

Morning all
Hugs for Essex-girl and catznine - sounds like you are both having horrible times. Won't mean much if you haven't seen 'Finding Nemo' - but "Just keep swimming...". (In other words, keep going even when you're struggling....). You'll come out the other side.... Catznine, NO job is worth your health, it really isn't. Make plans & try to get out; life really is too short.
Also (((((smokey, penpin, mrsmix, candygirl)))))) and all those feeling ill/down/with poorly relatives.
Must sort out freecycling 3-seater sofa as new squidgy corner sofa hopefully arriving in next 10 days or soExOH keeps saying he might find someone to store it for him, but then he's been saying that for 3 weeks & no further on...
Child-free from 4.30 yesterday - but felt tired so came & sat up in bed to watch TV about 8pm. Next thing I know it's 6.30am..... lol. DD's not back until tomorrow evening so I can study/write all weekend without feeling guilty I am not doing things with them in the nice weather.
Car passed it's MOT yesterday no problem so that made me happy - had a chinese to celebrate
Not much OSing going on due to said essay writing, but will make banana bread to keep me going & try to put some washing out in beautiful sunshine..

Morning all,
Betheebee, sorry to hear that you didn’t get better news from the hospital yesterday. Fingers crossed that it won’t be too long until you can have the ops.
Pippad, that baby will come when it’s ready.
Catowen, I’m glad things are looking up for you.
Mrs Mix, thinking of you. ((hugs))
Just a quick post this morning as I’m back to work today. I have a busy morning ahead but the calls are all along the coast road so it should be a nice drive if the rain holds off.
This afternoon I’ll have a break and we need to look at cars….mine is on it’s last legs and is going to cost almost as much as it’s worth to put through the MOT so it’s time for a change. I know it’s silly but when I find a car I like, I get attached to it and don’t want to let it go…it’s hard to believe that I got this one just before I found out I was expecting ds2 and he’s eight now!
As I have bed calls tonight, I’m leaving tea for Mr Pink to sort out. That should be interesting! His cooking skills are limited to say the least, but at least he tries.
Ok, better shake myself and get on with it.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning
((((HUGS))) to everyone who wants/needs them.
I haven't managed to post for a while althought have been reading what I've had time to of the Daily's. What with DD's, working full time and evening job things have been a bit hectic. I then had the flu over the bank holiday weekend and was totally wiped out for 2 days with the coldy bits still left now!! DD2 then developed chicken pox on Tues so I've been off work all week but am moving house (again!!!! - but for the last time ever) today so haven't been short of things to do. I got the keys for the new house on Thurs and have managed to have one carpet cleaned and 2 new carpets fitted plus a new cooker delivered in 2 days whilst feeling like cr*p with a poorly DD!! Quite proud of my achievements really.
Removal men will be here in under an hour and I haven't packed my bedroom drawers or unplugged tv's, dvd's, ps or pc so really need to get a wiggle on - just needed to sit down with a cuppa to get my head together first before it's all go for the rest of the day.
I'll take any hugs going (loving urs tru lol) cos I need them today
Hope everyone has a great weekend - have got someone round this afternoon at new house to set everything back up so should be online later to let you know how it all went.
