If you mean Virgin Media cable, you can't use the likes of 1899 any more and you're stuck with paying Virgin Media whatever they want to charge for your calls.

Has anyone recently used one of these services with Virgin Media? how much do they charge? 18866 has 3p for my destination, will virgin charge more? as will only register if it is 3p

OK, you cannot use the prefixes but you should still be able to use their freephone gateway numbers to make calls more cheaply - but using the gateway number is sometimes more expensive than using the prefix (e.g. 18866 charges 3p/minute to call Monaco via the prefix but 4p/minute to call via their 08081701701 freephone gateway number).

BTW, I've found 18185 is cheaper to many destinations.

0844 higher charges plus cannot use prefixes. ARRGGHHH. Hate em

Why is this not reflected on any in the martin specials as bet not many people know. You have go and look for the information.

hey, does anyone know if talktalk customers can sign up to 18185? I am reading that some telephone providers block 18185.

Also, if anyone has any views on bad telephone / broadband customer service, i would be keen to know:

    No, why?

Won't know until my bill comes in. Which does not show prices if call is under a certain amount anyway.

Yes, that's how much it would be for an 01/02/03 call using their 0808 1 703 703 freephone access number.

Oh right. Yes Virgin now charge 10p to connect you so the 4p is much better. I did use the the cable code, not the BT one.
