Which telephone and/or Internet provider has the worse customer service??

Hello fellow Money Savers.
Like many people, I have changed telephone and Internet providers over the last few years. I have been a customer with TalkTalk, British Telecom, and NTL/Virgin. Often I have choosen a company solely based on value for money and have given little thought on customer service.
I am keen to know what experiences Money Savers have had with telephone and/or internet providers.

British TelecomAs a newbie don't know how to set up polls, but would also be hlepful to know who people think are the BEST customer service providers. I have always had excellent service from 02 broadband. And its a freephone number. And they are in the UK. Shame about having to use a BT line.....0

OtherI think this poll lost all credibility the instant Talk Talk Company Representative voted.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

British TelecomPersonally while I've received appalling customer service over my broadband from Virgin (when it was NTL) and my TV package from Sky, by far the worst service I ever received was from BT.
Didn't connect my phone on the day they said they would, then it took me nearly 2 hours on hold to get through to them, no apologies when I did etc.
Mind you, last week I emailed them with a complaint over my termination charges and they rang back within 24hrs and wiped the charges and confirmed in writing, so maybe things have improved over the last 2 years.Martin Lewis is always giving us advice on how to force companies to do things.
How about giving us advice on how to remove ourselves from any part of MoneySupermarket.com
I hereby withdraw any permission Martin might have implied he gave MoneySupermarket.com to use any of my data. Further more, I do not wish ANY data about me, or any of my posts etc to be held on any computer system held by MoneySupermarket.com or any business it has any commercial interests in.0 -

British TelecomInterestingly (for me anyway) if you are a Virgin customer, you can post any problems/ questions/enquiries in the Virgin newsgroups.
These get answered very rapidly and a simple post from me at 4:15pm on Sunday had all my levels checked within the hour, and me then posting a request for an engineer, had it all booked within the next hour. All without the need for me to go anywhere near a phone.
They turned up when they said too.
