I have been trying for the last couple of weeks to find out what my local Tesco's policy is on how many coupons ect you can use.
Well i have emailed Tesco's about 6 times and have been given lots of answer but none of them really answered my questions. They told me i could use as many different coupons as i wanted.
But finally a very clever person has answered me after speaking to the store.
Lunsford Park Tesco will accept internet coupons as long as they are not photocopied and you can use 5 different coupons as long as Tesco's stock that item.
So please be careful as some information here isn't correct as one stores policy may not be the same as another store.0 -
I have just been on my first Tesco shop with internet vouchers.
Had 8 vouchers (6 were online) and they redeemed them all-saving me £7.33! I didnt buy any of the products. I got £32 down to £25 - I don't want to take advantage too much but I will try for more next week!
I have to admit I was a wee bit nervous handing them over but picked out a young guy and he was happy to take them all!
I also got a FREE 40 x tetley tea bag and maryland cookies as they had a promotion in store where if you spent over £30 (even though I was £26 after vouchers!) you got them free! :j superduper savings!
I am honestly refreshed by this discovery - instead of dreading the total of the weekly shop for the entire trip I can know that it will now always be reasonable and this is going to be a huge help to my weekly budget! :T :TI miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j

RE: WHSmith Vouchers
These can't be used anywhere else except WHSmith, and no, you don't have to have a clubcard to use them.
Hope this is what you wanted to hear!!:beer:0 -
i have recently started couponing again and have realised that the stores dont have policies its the sa who make the rules, i have had two lots excepted no questions, and one tell me they except them up to 50p and one tell me they dont accept internet coupons, all in the same Asda store. So would say the best thing to do is find the ones that are smiling.0

The previous info on these threads is correct, thank goodness.
One store's policy should be the same as another. Tesco have a national policy and it's just what the first people you emailed said; you can use as many coupons as you like (unless a Store Manager has specifically imposed some other limit, which is rare).
The problem is that some store staff - and many more staff at Dundee - don't know the national policy; perhaps no-one in that store has ever picked up on it or had the real policy pointed out/proven by a customer.
You just got a typical Dundee staff member who didn't know the national policy, who phoned the store and believed whatever they said was right - and reported it back to you.
I don't see how that's clever of the Dundee staff member - all they have done is confirmed a wrong policy.
Sorry to post negatively and I encourage anyone to use coupons - but I think you missed an opportunity to show the first emails to your local store and possibly get them to allow the real coupon policy. It's not too late I suppose, unless you are happy with the store's restrictive (only five) policy?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I think in a way couponmad and ladycatnap are both right really. We know from the old days of R&R that some stores will implement their own policy.
My local store has implemented one internet coupon per transaction only. We've found in past instances that Dundee will tend to back the store, even if it's not strictly the national policy - yes, I guess you can try and argue the case with an email, if you want the hassle, but be prepared that it may well get you precisely nowhere and to me 5 seems pretty good!
Also ladycatnap has correctly stated in her post that it's Lunsford Park Tesco she's referring to and that's their policy, which it seems is within their rights to do (rightly or wrongly!) and I would agree that one stores policy is definitely not the same as another.
There are many experiences of local policy differing to the national one, so I don't really think the info on this thread is incorrect.
I, for one, wouldn't be drawing attention to myself if they agree to take 5 internet coupons, that seems fairly good.0 -

Just wondering which store this was? Presume it's a local offer only as I've not seen it? Ours have 50p off a litre of fuel when you spend £50 (this is also your total pre-coupons!)0 -
I had them too, today (South Wales) Like the ad says...every little helps!:j0
