  • NEWBIE ALERT::exclamati Years ago I used to use all sorts of vouchers in ASDA but after living abroad etc had kinda forgot all about the things. Having now fallen back in to money saving ways I want to use them again. I have printed off all my allowance of internet coupons but here's my real question. If I wanted to buy a magazine for say 70p ish, which would be the best one to give me a good return on my money coupon wise. Are there any that regularly have MOCs in more than the value of the mag (otherwise it wouldn't be worth buying it).

    Thank you for your patience.

    Kind regards

    Hi pud

welcome to mse. I think its either woman magazine or best magazine that have some mocs in, not usually more than the cover price but if you buy mag along with your shopping use mocs to cover the cost of it ;)

Also keep an eye on the newspaper summary every day, this is a great way of finding out if there are any mocs in that days newspapers thanks to the kind peeps on there who post regularly every day.

Sorry cant post a link as it changes every day.

    hth you a bit

In terms of magazines, there is a thread with all the latest editions of magazines and which MOC's are in them here:

Re the mags MOC: I plan to buy a few mags with a good MOC ( Marie Clare best at the moment ) which is printable & costs me nothing & gain the 'proper' MOC from the mags in return to blend in with my printable ones.

Can someone help me out.......when I use a MOC at the self service at Tesco, it always asks for my clubcard. I'd really prefer not to give it as I don't always buy the item. Any way round this? Apart from going to a sales assistant!

Why not pick up a paper one and use that when using your coupons ?

It simple means you log in on that PC is set to user. Get the Pc owner to log in and either download it for you or change your log in from User to Administrator. Is simple enough to change, provided your talking about a standard home PC or laptop. Networks and community PC's are unlikely to let you change your log in to administrator.

Thanks for this info but as I'm not computer literate don't know how to go about this.

    Can you help?

It is a normal home computer which just loads up automatically when switched on.

I noticed when I tried to log out that only my husbands details are on there & there is no option for another user to be logged on.

Or is it because my friend gave us this computer>

    Thanks for your help

Great idea. Now, how many times can I use the "paper" clubard? Is it a one off thing or can I use it whenever I don't want my MOC's to show up on my actual clubcard account? Hope this makes sense!

You could use it as much as you like for up to four or five months I think, and then make some money back by selling it on eBay. Check out other listings on there for unregistered clubcards; they are popular!

The 'five month' recommendation is because Tesco issue Clubcard vouchers every quarter, and I am not sure that points earned on unregistered clubcards will carry across two quarters, I think some of the oldest points might be lost after that if not registered to an address.

The reason I am not sure on this point is that I haven't done it and don't recommend it!

Just think how much you will miss out on in terms of Tesco vouchers, extra points coupons and till-spits. Not to mention the opportunity to register that clubcard for the Wine Club, the baby Club (if you have a baby), the Food Club, the Healthy Living Club and the Fashion file (for clothing coupons!).

OMG you are missing out on a LOT of points and MOCS for no reason if you do this.

IMHO there is NO REASON not to use a clubcard if you are doing nothing more than paying with legit manufacturers' MOCs. None. There is nothing to hide if you are playing the game by Tesco's own rules. Is there another adult in the family you could register a second card with to spread your points a little?

MOCs use alone is simply not an issue IMHO, even major use of MOCS.

Different if you are combining H&B vouchers or using clothing coupons without buying clothes for instance - but with manufacturers' MOCs you are not doing anything against Tesco t&cs so nowt to worry about really IMHO.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
