  • i normally shop at asda but more often than not they say they will only accept coupons up to a £1, so went to tesco today which is out of my way but i had the 5 pound notw coupon and the clothes coupon so she scanned the clothes and the notw and the marie claire (from the daily mail) it wouldnt scan and she typed it in, and then told me i cant use my other coupons as i hadnt bought the item grrrrr, i still have 4 well kid vouchers to use in a few days , anyway if someone could give me the email for tescos to clarify their coupon policy , it would be most helpful, when i print it off and shove it in their face , lol.

I am not techie either was told to do this every few weeks to unclog the pc, nothing specifically to do with coupons but it worked for me.:rotfl:

I believe couponnet is secure (i hope) maybe someone else can confirm?

    Hi All,

Did my shopping in Tescos earlier using all my coupons, saved a bit and then realised forgot something so popped into my local Asda.

When I tried to use the marie claire coupon, I was initially refused as it was apparently a copy which it wasn't and I pointed this out to the SA. I then tried to use some coupon net coupons the one with SAFE coupon written on them to be told that they only accept proper manufacturers coupons now and only for 10% of the bill.

I said that the coupon net ones were proper manufacturer coupons and still i was told no they weren't. "Nothing from the internet are proper coupons".

I then used my non internet ones, and they got stroppy again because I exceed the coupon limit (as only using small value ones) and I had to point out it wasn't 10% of the bill yet.

Won't be shopping there again, although thinking of emailing the manufacturers who's coupons I tried to use telling them that asda are refusing to accept them. Especially annoying when I was trying to buy a marie clare!!!!

Sorry for my rant, was sooooo upset at the time.

Exactly same thing happened to me. I thought as I could not use the £1 Lloyd Grossman in Tesco that I would actually buy the product in Asda and use the coupon. The nuts were £2.50 and I bought a few other items totalling approx £8 and they would not take the coupon as it was more than 10% of my total shop even though I'd bought the product. I could understand the 10% rule if you don't buy the product but seems nuts (excuse the pun) that you cannot use manufacturers coupon against the actual product. I have written to Manufacturer but no reply yet!

Spotted this on the 'try me free' thread, thanks to Sweets2

25p off coupon for Castello cheese from their website, click on '25p off' on the bottom right of front page.

    www.castellocheese.co.uk

    Expires 31/12/08

Think there was a coupon net version a while ago, but this one you can reprint as many as you like. Apologies if this has been posted already, but it didn't come up as a search and I didn't see it in the first post. Thanks to R4pture for keeping this thread updated.

Went to my local Mr T's today. Young lad would only take Marie Clare and Kids one from newspaper. Said that sa's had got into a lot of trouble for acccepting printed coupons. I went to cs and asked what had changed from last week and was told that only coupons with safe coupon with (tick logo) displayed were accepted.

I managed to save £3.70 off an £18 shop (was still gutted as I had a fist full of printed coupons):p

I had the opposite problem yesterday!! The lad who served me took all EXCEPT the Safe coupons. I couldn't understand it myself, and expressed my frustration that the rules change every week. I must say I never make a fuss, just accept what ever the rule is, but 4 weeks ago it was NO internet coupons (nothing that had clearly been printed from the internet is any way, only mags and newspapers accepted), the following week the supervisor was taking the cash from the till just as I was paying, and she told the lad it was a maximum 10 coupons (no restrictions other than that!!), so the following week I was armed with the highest value ones at the top of my pile to get the best but handed over more than 10, and the lad took the lot!! This week - different again, no Safe coupons () yet he took my Marie claire printed out, and the Baxters soup from Mumsplusone which in my mind are less legit, but gave me back all the safecoupon ones (didnt even attempt to scan them) and any that didn't scan.

Here's hoping next week they WILL take them otherwise my stash is running very low!!! :(
