House prices would appear to be coming down, but that's no reason for people on this forum to start harassing posters who are looking for support or advice. I thought thats what this site was all about.

Most of those who have responded to this thread have done so in the wrong way, and are to quick to flame genuine posters.

Look again at the original post Mr l33t miladdo.

Do you see any sort of question in it? Any request for help or information?

It looks to me very much like a statement of surprise, which any member of this site should be allowed to expand upon their own reasoning for why the situation shouldn't be a surprise to her. No need for you to go mental at us cause you don't like the reasoning given.

I remember when replies to posts on this forum were well mannered, sensible and dealing with the initial posting. Unfortunately it seems this forum is now the home of the bitter and twisted. Shame.

It's such attitudes of you and others like you why this country is in the financial mess it is now and keeps encouraging bottler broone to keep making the reckless decisions he does.

what does it matter, if your home has risen, fallen or stayed the same, its money you could never realise as you will always need somewhere to live. or were you planning to sell it and live on the streets ?

She wasn't specific and you just said some things which were obviously reassuring.

Anyway, just cause some posters hold a different economic outlook than you do, doesn't mean you should claim it's "harassment" and that the forum is full of "bitter and twisted people". Get a grip.

You and others might claim to have a different economic outlook, yet the truth is you bully and harass people posting on this forum.

The " I told you so" brigade posting on here seems incapable of empathy or compassion for other fellow humans who post on here looking for advice, compassion and encouragement. Instead, you give them disdain and superfluous advice on how they should have run their lives and finances, of course always remembering to mention how smart you are and look in what a good position you are now that the whole economy is crashing.

I pity those of you who need to see people displaced, homes sold at auctions and children on the streets in order to fulfill your abysmal sense of righteousness and maintain your selfish sense of self fulfillment by comparison. As a firefighter, my first duty is compassion towards fellow human beings - imagine if we started giving superfluous advice to injured people trapped in their cars: that they should have slowed down when going around the corner, that they should have paid more attention etc. Yes they should have, but then we are all humans and thus subject to imperfections. Rejoicing in others' misfortunes and laughing at their tears, whatever the cause, in my opinion make you bitter and twisted. If you can't show empathy and kindness and give advice that can truly help, at least have the decency to keep your sick laughter within the privacy of your homes.

I don't think you are cut out to post on public forums.....

You start off with a dramatic title for a thread to draw some people in and then what does it turn out to be? Nothing but a moan because you believe it was your god given right to have a hefty price increase on your home. You believe you are hard done to but do you ever stop to think that despite the fact that you are 'terribly unlucky in everything you do' that you have a home that you appear to love for a nice, low price.

There is zero in your post to suggest that you were concerned about this and zero to suggest you were looking for advice. You posted in a forum of which most of its posters appear to want property value to drop, moaning about how your property value has not risen. Not sure what you expected?

People on here just realise that you are in a pretty good position and the fact that you are moaning about it is probably a bit annoying to some.

but you are hardly going to be displaced, the value of your house hasnt fallen since you bought it, you are not in negative equity, chances are your mortgage payments are more than affordable. compared to people who have bought in the last couple of years, you are sitting pretty comfortably! where is your compassion for them ? your gripe is that you not made money (nor have you lost any) ohh diddums.

and to compare yourself to a car crash victim and the treatment you have recieved on here is probably one of the sickest things i have ever read on this or any other internet forum. it shows you up for the self centred person you are.

However there is a very decent income coming in to this modest 2 up 2 down, so though the rates will go up there should be no reason for foreclosure. .

Absolutely no risk of foreclosure - what with the OP living in the UK where it doesn't exist!
