sounds about right, 2 bed terraced, so a starter home (like mine :D ) so relatively affordable. We paid 101,000 for ours in Norwich 4 years ago and I couldn't have afforded much more, when we come to sell if we get the same amount I'll be pleased. People expecting 150k for a north city terrace astound me, who will be available to afford them who would want to live in one?

Just peeked. It's an NR fixed term mortgage coming to an end that will have to go onto SVR.

Hence the concern by the OP as they've now found out they will need a deposit I guess.

61 grand joint should cover a 140 mortgage I'd have thought!

    Oh, I know .. I know.

It's not the mortgage that's a problem. You can get another one of those.
It's that pesky secured loan against it going to 15% when you move the mortgage.

    Did I win that time?

I think the OP is more concerned that they paid 134k for a property that after 4 years of rises is now worth about 134k. Meaning they paid too much for it at the time.

If its any consolation Mircea most places arent going for asking price now so if your neighbours have theirs up for 140 you'll probably only get 120 for yours.

    Bud.

You need to get a hobby or something, whats the point of coming on here a taking the p*** out of someone who is obviously concerned about something.

    I didn't take the p155.

    They said "guess again".

So I did. I was complying with instructions. Ignoring them would be rude.

I genuinely have no idea what their angle was, as I thought it was something different to how I perceived it originally. So I went to try to understand, then thought I did. And I was wrong.

I didn't think they were "concerned". I thought they were moaning in the first post, as (I thought) did G-G in post #2
