Thriftlady, you might want to look here, and I'd do it a.s.a.p. if I were you, as I suspect the chances of this thread disappearing too are fairly high

The vet said Reggie will be fine
He's got a very weak back right leg, and his right eye is half closed but he's ok. We've been keeping an eye on him, he's definitely feeding. If the other two are in the way, Baz shuffles them off to one side and makes sure he's fed. She's cleaning him too, he's not too good at that cos when he tries to balance to clean his back legs he falls over. Baz's skin condition was awful, it was bit raw before but since she gave birth (and can actually now twist right round to reach her back) she's nibbled a lot of fur away and it was bleeding. The vet gave her an injection and we've got to put drops on the back of her neck over the next few weeks.
The babies were the main attraction in the waiting room. The nurse came out with her camera and said she HAD to have pics of them, she's in charge of the vet's website and they MUST have these babies on their siteBulletproof0 -
Charlie's Mum - thanks for saving me from having to read the whole thread again:D Glad you and DGD ahd a happy day together. My DGD is 4mo, and looks so like me as a baby that it's positively spooky:D
Betheebee - what rotten news about your poor arms, I'm so sorry. (((HUGS))) I think Mioliere's idea of trying to get a cancellation is an excellent idea. Please blow the Tor a kiss for me. I remember setting out with my cousins to climb it once, but I couldn't keep up as I was much younger than them, so I went back to my Auntie's for a glass of Corona instead:D0 -

Awwhhh tru - famous baby piggies
I'm not suprised they were the centre of attention at the vets, they are sooo cute.
Boss appeared, but had other people to harass, so left me alone! *sigh of relief* Roll on SepetemberSeen a job advertised I'd love, but when I made enquires it seems that a couple of people had been hired previously on that post and all had left within a month... so seems like I'm good at choosing to work for headcases. I might see if I can make an appointment to see her on an informal basis before attempting to put my CV in anyway.
Lentil dahl for tea if I'm brave, although it might be pizza as I fed OH chickpeas earlier in the week and well... lets just say we've had the windows open a lot _pale_ :rotfl: cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Are you any closer to finding a new job?
I've got a few irons in the fire for a new job. Waiting to hear back from one in Tenerife, and there's still a chance something could come up in Spain.
But the radio industry in this country's in trouble thanks to new rules put in place. Lots of people have lost their jobs. So think the answer is abroad for the time being.Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
TRU - I hope you keep us up to date with your little piggies, especially Baz and Reggie. I'm glad he's feeding and it's good that the vet has given them all a good looking at! I can just imagine all the fuss there when the 'celebrities' turned up!
SCUZZ - I hope you get SOME sleep tonight! Good luck with the job hunt.
IVYLEAF - we've just had a letter saying that the thirty holes in the pavements in our road are going to be repaired during the rest of May, plus the road round the corner, which is in a dangerous state because the surface is badly pot-holed, is being repaired too. About time too, they've had loads of complaints about it. It was one of the things the newly elected Councillor promised to do if he was voted in at the local elections and it seems, unusually for a politician, that he is as good as his word! We shall see, but it should be interesting if they use the same tasty workmen who were repairing opposite me yesterday!
WEll, DH is working late so I'm back on here while I wait; he's probably stuck in traffic.
It's a lovely evening; I think we'll have another brilliant sunset tonight. Might share the view with a glass of Vino Collapsio after dinner.
Well, I suppose I'd better go and do something useful.
See you all later.

Good evening everyone
Off to read through the thread in a mo. Will be glad to get further up than p4 tomorrow
Bit of gardening to do tonight. Dogs will have to be marched round block as I plan a glass or 2 of wine so won't be driving to the common
Other than that, will strip back bedroom's single beds and get them aired over the weekend. Youngest stepson is 14 in a couple of weeks so is acquiring the whiff that goes with teenage boys in that he is 'growing up' but he isn't at the stage of wanting to wash his hair very often. He only comes here at weekends when his dad is at home, so he is forced to have a shower and wash his hair!
Have ordered my veggie box for next week and have included an apple bag and one of pears. Will also have to do some grocery shopping this weekend. Out of dog biscuits and some other things.
Take care all
