    Hi guys,

I hope you are all well and ((((hugs)))) to those in need.

I have had a busy day today, the school photographer was in and so I had to sheperd the 3 to the infants for a group photo at 8.30. Then I had to catch the bus to get to the Gp, I think I am going to stick to this fellow he really is cracking and despite running over half an hour late he took his time explaining the grieving process and what it entailed and how I should expect to feel over the months to come. It was nice to have that chat as on and off I have been having feelings of relief that the whole situation has ended and they really have felt very inappropriate, to the extent that I have been beating myself up over them.

He has given me another sick note for a month and I shall speak to my work tomorrow.

I threw a load of veggies in the SC this am and some stock cubes and then plonked a whole chicken on top of it, So for tea we have had chicken and baked pots and will convert the rest to a curry and blend the rest down for a soup when it's all cooled off and I can skim off the fat.

I have done the washing, put it on the line and it was done in no time. The mountain of ironing has now disappeared and the house is fairly clean. The garden did not get done at the weekend as my sister was ill and is now postponed for another 3 weeks. I have an appt. with the solicitor on Tuesday and a cheque from his union arrived this morning - £130- which was very unexpected but apparently there is a sum paid out by them on death. I only returned his card with a note as they had been so good over the time we were booted out of the tied house, I had no idea that there was a benefit like this.

The LO has been asking a lot of questions today about Eric, things like did the angels make him better, can he see us from heaven and also that he did not want to die like daddy (during the following conversation I sort of figured that he meant that dying meant going away and he didn't want to go away). He's also been coming out with the stock I love you but today and daddy has been added on. I wonder just how much is sinking in with him, at least on some level he is understanding.

Tru.... Your new additions look lovely.

    Smoky. xx

Aah tru - that's too cute

donny - gal - what you said reminds me of my friend's adventures - her dd decided that it would be nice for the hamsters to play together - weeks later and there were seven happy events - of which 4 have been .... well you know. my midlde dd is having one of the survivors on saturday and the rest will be segregated to prevent history repeating itself.

Oh smoky - we crossed - i'm glad you have another month of grace - you didn't sound quite ready to go back to work. Try not to beat yourslf up about any of the feelings you've been having - I'm sure that it's all part of the process. Hugs to you and yours xxxxxxxxxxxx

Smoky, I'm so pleased that you have an understanding GPand he is helping you with the natural grieving process.
You will feel relieved that Eric is no longer suffering, that is the most natural feeling in the world, to try and ease the pain of one we love.

One day at a time is all that's needed.
    (((hugs)))

Tru, I'm pleased Reggie Runt is feeding, let's hope he's still ok in the morning.

Typical tru - all of us trying to talk at once!

Had to laugh at the weather forecast today, where we go in Spain has rain forecast all week, and we have the sun - makes a change.

Jackie-0 - How are you doing? and Amie - What are you up to these days?

    Hi folks,

Whatatwit....as we are in the process of making an invitation list for DS3's wedding next year I can see both sides of the story...they are at 200 already and that is without asking relatives other than aunts and uncles and a few cousins to whom he is close...at almost €100 a throw I think that they are mad, not my money so I am keeping my mouth shut, but possibly your cousin is trying to keep costs down and not inviting cousins' offspring. I honestly think that it is not worth getting upset about this kind of thing but then the relationships in your family may be different to mine! One solution might be to ring them and ask if it will be all right to bring DD as OH is unable to attend for some reason.

Smoky...you are doing so well, your posts are more positive all the time...even if you don't consciously feel that it is there in your words. Take your good GP's advice and let yourself grieve naturally, feeling relieved is natural, as is anger, so don't beat yourself up...hugs to you and yours

    Night all,

    Marie

Smoky, so lovely to hear from you. I caught up with old threads a day or so ago, and was really moved by your dream. Eric will be with you always, his love for you and his children WILL endure, it's his physical appearance that has passed.

I should imagine that the whole gamut of feelings is quite usual, but I too am glad that you have a supportive and understanding GP:D The kiddies are doing so well too. All you can do is be truthful and supportive of them.

I really am in total admiration of you:D No you're not Superwoman, but by golly, you are an inspiration when I feel hard done by:o Love and hugs to you and your children. And I agree, Tru's * babies* are lovely aren't they?:D :D
