Tony,
The Ebuyer one gets very poor reviews - I would recommend you go for the Intel one as this is the one used as original equipment by Toshiba.
You can also download the latest drivers from Intel which support WPA2-AES which is the strongest encryption currently possible (recently released) so gives some degree of future-proofing.
Thanks

I've now managed to secure my wireless network by:-
1. Enabling WPA-PSK
2. Restricting access to listed MAC addresses
3. Disabling SSID broadcast
I used the Ethernet cable supplied with the Netgear router to link the devices to perform the set-up. The wireless connection was no good for this as it drops after each change made to the settings.
The router was configured using the web browser. Each additional wireless device (e.g. laptop) was configured using the Wireless Assistant found on the desktop. There were prompts to enter passphrases to generate WEP or WPA encryption and as long as the passphrase for the router matched that of the wireless adapter settings, the system works like a dream! I'm really happy with this package.

No problem, you now have a nice secure Wire-less network!0 -
Just spent ages reading this thread! Finally decided to go for the Amazon deal but I can only seem to get this (with the USB dongle) for just over £62 now. Have they put the price back up £10?0

Thanks, I tried it again but I'm still getting this:
Netgear DG834GT Modem/router £64.99
Netgear WG111T USB adapter £33.48
Discount code: -£38.29
Total=£60.18 (my estimate was slightly our before).
I'm adding the code on the payment page - is that right?
Any further help appreciated.0 -
just a reminder that the requesting of codes by PM is not allowed on the board. All codes should be placed in the Online Discount Vouchers board only so the source of the code (and if it is allowed for general use) can be checked.0
