You are using words that "include" the letters "of", therefore not relevant, and "Thereof" is pronounced Thereov, read a dictionary!

OF on it's own is pronounced ov, OFF is pronounced OFF as in toff.

You want to mangle the English language then do so.

As far as I am concerned you can [strike]BOGOF[/strike],(whoops), I mean BOGOFF

i work for a supermarket ( i shalln't divulge as people have started being sacked for it) and i tell my customers about offers that aren't advertised where it works out cheaper to buy two of an item. i've been bollocked for it a few times, but the customers always appreciate you saving them a few extra pennies, especially in this current economic climate.

    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

The point was made that 'There is no word in the English language that has more than 2 letters and ends in 'of''. I was merely pointing out that there was. I have no desire to read a dictionary thank you, i have a life, and i wasnt disputing the pronounciation. Oh and well done for rehashing my joke, very witty:rolleyes:

  the supermarkets are sacking staff for letting the general public know about what offers they have, i would have thought they would be happy, you doing your bit, to help drive up there profits, if they dont want people to buy the offers, why put the offers on, in the first place, i work for a supermarket as well, and i always put posts on here when i think they have a good offer on, better be careful now though, thanks for that little piece of info, Dave

no, they sack staff if they find anything on the internet that shows them in a bad light.

one lad on provisions was suspended for three weeks for putting a picture of himself leaning on a trolley on facebook as it made the company look like it employs lazy staff.

    it's craziness.

The staff in our local Co-Op including the deputy manager and manager when they have to step in to help reduce queues always mention if an item is on offer and if they want to go back and pick another one - or if another member of staff is around the store call to them to bring the extra item down.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

In our asda the other week they had a big stand proclaiming 'Try Before You Buy' so I went over to see what I could sample or take away and it turned out it was a promotion for washing liquid and they were giving 30p off coupons. I asked how I could try before I bought and she said 'well, you take a coupon and get 30p off'. I said 'so you're telling me I have to buy before I try?' she said yes, that was indeed the case. I went to customer services to tell them it was misleading and unacceptable and they said 'well sometimes we have promotions on dog food and you can't try that can you?', totally missing the point. Some people are so stupid.
