  • I phoned the pest control yesterday and the man came before 9 am today, :j fast or what. He placed poison pellets in trays in a couple of the rooms, he put them out of the way of the dog. He advised me to get traps to place by the poison also. I hope this works as i am sick of getting a  shock by them running around while i am sat there, how hard faced can you get.

:j Best of all the pest control was free with the council :j

    Hi swebb,

I hope that you don't mind, but I am going to merge your thread with the current 'mice' thread.

The best thing to put in the humane mouse traps is flour. I've caught lots of mice this way and have even caught three at once in a single trap.

Avoid the poison route as you don't want mice scurrying off to die in an inaccessable place and stinking the house out.

I got my humane trap from the pet shop about for £4.50. I put chocolate in which they love but don't do what I did and let them out in the garden. I think I caught the same mouse 5 times. I then started to take them on a long car journey!!!.

Since then I've had a tiny vole and a couple more field mice, usually once it starts to get colder.
  • try chocolate they have a very sweet tooth
