Only just found this thread
I have noticed that a lot of jobs being advertised still hav afc payment award still pending - I thought they were supposed to be finished
I was working in finance on a grade 3 got banded at the top of band 2 - it should have been a 3 - was told by our afc co-ordination that I had no grounds for appeal even though me & others said I had a case ( I was involved in doing the selecting of the banding myself so I know a bit more about the process than some- didnt get involved with jaq's) - then I was off sick for 2 months (unrelated) when I came back I was moved to another band 2 job (with the recommendation of occupation health - long story but hated my job anyway) So i am now doing a lot less stressful job for the same money
Most of finance got banded at a 3 when should have been 4 or 5
We have the situation of people supervising others when they are on the same grade - there was supposed to be a reshuffle but it hasnt happened - some havent been banned yet!

I have the experience, I'll be travelling further, for rmore money and I'll be able to hit the groung running.
However, apparently, I should be able to do this for £850 or so. I've worked out that if I take the extra travel, I'm going to be about £200 up or down
I'm waiting for news..."This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0 -

surely its backdated to October 04?? She should definatley contact her HR dept tho as they are required to give her the same treatment for the time she was working there i believe!!Official DFW Nerd 2100 -
Yes you definitely should get the back date if you've left the NHS after Oct 2004.
Anyone tried to, or considered asking for interest on this back dated money? For some it could be really significant (sadly not for me). This is something which is being considered by some staff, especially as our trust are now stalling/backtracking (call it what you like!) having promised the money at the beginning of this month, it's now not going to happen this month. So yet another month of an interest free loan to the trust from it's staff.0 -
I doubt in reality anyone would ever get the interest, its a valid point though and I think if enough people put in a complaint they would have to listen... but like I say i doubt it would happen...
I was working 40 hour weeks and the Afc process reduced me down to 37.5 so I guess i will get the time or the money back for the extra time I worked while they got there act together, but what about the extra paid out for childcare each week since October 2004??
What a load of nonsense this whole system is!Official DFW Nerd 2100 -

Hi there,
I'm a E grade mental health nurse(and violence and aggression management trainer) on top increment. I'm work within NHS Tayside, as you are probably aware Scotland is way behind the rest of the UK with regards to job matching and assimilation(that term is so Borg-like).
I have been sent a Equal Pay Appeal letter from Unison, has anyone on the boards any experience of this appeal systems???
Also I'd be interested to hear of everyone experience of job matching/assimilation.2011 Wins - Dave Gorman Tickets :j Sony Bravia TV :beer:0
