Thats great news pigpen, i'm waiting for hubbys P60 to come before i do mine. They had him down as earning loads more than he did last year, so hopefully we'll get a bit back too:D

I've changed all the beds - a day early because I wanted to take off the winter duvets. I've also cleared two surfaces in DD1's room - and dumped the stuff in the middle of her bedroom floor:rotfl: I did warn her:D Her room is a converted attic, and I can see it's going to be stifling in there in summer. It's perishing in winter. I remember living in a bedsit in London many years ago and my room was up in the eaves. It was freezing in winter, but in summer it was so hot I had to sit naked on my bed spraying myself from a water bottle listening to the tube trains whizzing past my window (tmi I bet :rotfl:Probably not a pretty sight:rotfl:)

Off to PO now to cash my benefits cheque. If I go now I might miss the huge queue of other cashees - and will miss having to queue up with all the pensioners collecting their pension tomorrow. I probably need to get something for dinner tonight, but I can't think what . . .

I did ring and tell them it was wrong way back in January but do they EVER listen.. ??? .... hhhmmm... Oh well.. I can't pay it off my gas/electric bill because they have frozen my online access so how I am supposed to pay them when there is no way on this planet I am queueing in the PO like a muppet so everyone knows how much I pay they can stuff right off.. I'll ring them later.. and if they won't take it over the phone I'll switch back to powergen and they can go to hell!.. see how quick they want paying then.. ;)

    Afternoon flyladies!!

I only had time yesterday to speed read the thread, so I'm popping in for a few minutes now. It's really too nice to be indoors, so I'm off out in a minute to strim the lawn. I broke the lawnmower when I tried cutting it last, and can't afford a new mower this week (or month probabaly) and it now looks like a meadow.

I was too tired after teaching yesterday, and running DS2 and friend to their Duke of Edinburgh course, to do any flying, but made up for it today by Level 3 in the bathroom before going to do a morning's gardening for a friend.I'll do the rest of the upstairs quickly after the school run.

DD is 16 today!! She was up at 7am, absolutely unheard of, because she was too excited to sleep! We're opening presents after school, and out for a Chinese this evening. She is having a picnic lunch and mini party at school with her friends too. No party this year, as I'm taking her to Spain on a mini break, with three friends.

johanne - take it easy still! Enjoy being at home with your gorgeous daughter. She sounds like she is thriving. Often babies feed a huge amount around three weeks, as they are about to have a little growth spurt, and need to up the milk supply, and you may want to have an easy week, and lots of snacks and drinks if she does this. I wouldn't get too wound up about how much weight she puts on, as breastfed babies don't usually follow the pattern of the growth charts which are usually based on formula milks. Your midwife/health visitor should be using a breastfed chart, but often they don't. The NCT have a helpline for any information and support if you need it anytime. Hope you feel better very soon, and I'm green with jealousy ove the jeans. I never wore mine again...!

nicki - fab news on the weight loss!! Try sending a CV to local secondary schools saying that you're interested in learning support, and see if you get any offers.

pigpen - Very pleased to hear that the money turned up! Now we're all chanting a mantra for the remainder...

    Advice please!

Should I switch to e.on and save £218 per year and get 1 tesco point per £1 spent?

    And £12 via quidco??

    Are they ok?
